REGENT HONG KONG

I extended my stay for one more night in the same room. Initially, they told me the room was scheduled for renovation the next day and I'd have to switch rooms. I packed all my luggage and waited all afternoon, only to be told later that I wouldn't need to move, and the renovation wouldn't start until 12 PM the next day. It was already 5 PM at that point, and I still had things to do, so I thought I might need to extend my stay again the next day. I asked if I could still switch rooms, but they said the new room wasn't ready. So, I had no choice but to stay put. The next morning, however, the renovation started around 8 AM. To top it off, the shower water kept fluctuating between hot and cold. Overall, a terrible experience.

Excellent location, great hotel facilities, and very warm service. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time.

Stayed here with my kids during the summer holiday trip to Hong Kong. The biggest plus is definitely the location. However, the facilities are a bit dated, the room isn't very spacious, and the ceiling feels a little low. The air conditioning also had a damp smell. I didn't really notice any guest service, maybe it was just too busy during the summer. Overall, I feel the price doesn't match the service provided.

Staying at the Regent Hong Kong, the unbeatable Victoria Harbour view is certainly unforgettable, but the hotel's professional, thoughtful, and meticulous service truly stands out as its most brilliant feature. The entire staff is well-trained, professional, and composed, treating guests with gentle courtesy without being overly enthusiastic or intrusive. Yet, they always anticipate guests' various needs. Check-in was efficient and seamless. The concierge is knowledgeable about all Hong Kong attractions, border crossings, and booking channels, providing precise and comprehensive advice for travel, dining, and immigration inquiries. Room service is prompt, and the turndown service is full of thoughtful details. For guests traveling with children, they proactively provide a full set of children's amenities. Whether it's a routine inquiry or an impromptu special request, the staff handles everything in an organized, professional, and appropriate manner, making communication comfortable and pleasant throughout. While the hardware and views are a bonus, it's this perfectly balanced, professional, and heartwarming service that truly defines the Regent's core charm, making for a perfect stay.

This hotel definitely has the best harbor views from its windows! The facilities are also new, and the decor and layout are very tasteful! After a full day of walking and getting sunburnt, returning to the room at night and opening the door instantly cut my fatigue in half! They also send little gifts every day, which really boosts your mood! Every coffee flavor was delicious, simply fantastic!

Service: Great Ambiance: Beautiful Cleanliness: Tidy, though the bathtub was too small to take a proper bath.

I paid over 60,000 RMB to upgrade to a suite on the 16th floor, and honestly, it didn't live up to the hype from some influencers on Xiaohongshu. It's not worth the price – I'd rather stay at the Peninsula across the street, where I stayed before. First, the shower area is open-concept, and my child was freezing during their shower. Second, the toilet flush button is poorly designed; it's practically impossible to press if you have long nails, and I broke a nail on the first day. Third, and most ridiculously for a room costing over 10,000 RMB a night, the air conditioning vent started making a loud whirring noise and dripping water in the middle of the night, making it impossible to sleep. When I checked out, I complained to the front desk, and they ended up waiving the cost of one buffet meal, which was about 1,000 RMB. Well, I definitely won't be staying here again.

The overall hardware facilities and the experience in the 11th-floor high-rise room were decent. The full Victoria Harbour view was expansive, the room decor was exquisite, and the service staff were polite. However, this stay was a major disappointment, severely impacting our experience. We booked a harbour view room specifically advertised for its good view in advance, but upon check-in, we were assigned to the 5th floor. The rooftop awning completely blocked the sea view. When we checked in at 6 PM, I specifically requested a higher floor from a foreign front desk staff member, but this was not accommodated. This low-floor room, being close to the sea, was very damp. The mattress and bedding felt stuffy and moist, and my husband and I immediately started itching all over after lying down. Even after contacting the front desk to replace all the bedding at 8 PM, the itching didn't subside. We endured this until 10 PM when we finally managed to switch to the 11th floor. Only after changing rooms did our skin discomfort completely disappear. Four whole hours were severely disrupted, spoiling our travel mood. The hotel only offered a room change as a solution, and I was given a bar of soap when we left. A five-star hotel should ensure proper dehumidification and dust mite removal in its rooms and match room types according to reservations. This experience had a double whammy of a mismatched room type and substandard room hygiene, which was very disappointing. I hope the hotel can improve moisture control and cleaning for low-floor rooms, and standardize room allocation management.
