Anja Beach Resort & Spa

No service at all. The staff didn't smile or greet us proactively. Breakfast was subpar, with undercooked steamed buns and terrible rice. No juice, just artificial colored drinks. The room itself was awful; the AC only blew air without cooling. When we called for help, no one cared. Everything was moldy, and dust was falling from the walls. It's old and rundown, yet they charge 700 a night. I have no idea how this place got such a high rating.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The grounds are nice and well-maintained, and the breakfasts are decent. However, upon arrival, you're greeted by a somewhat dilapidated area at the turn. The room itself was okay, but there were only two towels per person, one of which was a tiny, flimsy cloth. There were no disposable slippers, and the bathrobes' cleanliness was questionable; it was impossible to tell since they were thin, synthetic, and not white. I chose this hotel based on its high ranking on Trip.com among 'high-class' hotels. But the very next day, water started leaking from the air conditioner, and it wouldn't maintain the set temperature. Eventually, it completely broke down, forcing me to switch rooms. The beach is beautiful and clean, with plenty of sun loungers. However, the lack of partitions on the balcony made it uncomfortable to be out there with neighbors; there wasn't enough privacy. My conclusion is that the hotel's price is inflated, and that's solely because it has a private beach.

This hotel left a really positive impression on me. It's super close to the sea, with its own private beach just 100-150 meters from the bungalows. The restaurant is right on the shore. The beach itself is very green and beautifully designed. I stayed in a single-story bungalow, divided into four rooms. I had three neighbors: one only shared a corner with me, while two others shared a common wall. The soundproofing wasn't great, but I got lucky with my neighbors – they weren't disruptive. Room cleaning is done daily, and they try to clean when you're out. The bungalow has an open-air shower – a space with high walls where you can shower outside, which I found very convenient. There's also a full bathroom in the bungalow, perfect for relaxing in the evening. The hotel offers airport transfers both ways. I booked my transfer via email because I wasn't confident in my English over the phone. Overall, the hotel made a very good impression. I definitely recommend it.

My parents both raved about this hotel during our trip to Phu Quoc! The service was excellent. It's just a short walk, maybe a few dozen meters, to the beach from the hotel. Since there aren't many rooms, the private beach isn't crowded, making it quiet and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Even though some of the hotel's facilities are a bit old, like the air conditioning not working well, and the rooms aren't huge, it was still a great stay.

It's a small hotel. Housekeeping is daily but in the Vietnamese style. There weren't many guests, and there were always enough sun loungers by the pool and on the beach. Breakfasts were a bit repetitive but decent. The food prepared at the hotel is also good. The facilities definitely need an upgrade, but overall, everything was fine. The staff were very helpful. They changed my room without any issues. However, the hotel gets very busy during peak season.

Excellent hotel, really delicious breakfasts, and a great location right on the beachfront. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the spa, but I guess that just gives us a reason to come back! :)
