Hotel Vervana, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

very nice place. My major gripe is with Trip.com. They said there was breakfast offered, and I paid extra for that. The owner said they haven't had breakfast for a LONG time. So I got ripped off by Trip.com by paying extra for a service that was not even included.

Friendly staff Outside conditions were poor. Stagnant pool. Tall weeds around the property. Large sections of concrete walkway missing. Less than desirable neighborhood. Not sure how this could be rated as “very good “.

The cleaning staff was amazing but the receptionist and manager were very unprofessional. The property has a lot of potential but they need to work on their customer service and make sure they complete their repairs/improvements.

All was good. Only minor issue was having to climb stairs to our second floor room after requesting with reservation on first floor. No elevator available for us 80+ year old people.

Most importantly, our room was clean, nice, and quiet. No problems within the room, and I thought they offered a pretty nice room configuration for a hotel of their price range. However, outside of the room, the amenities were a little disappointing. The pool was not maintained (to be fair, it might have been too cold to merit that in mid-May). The laundry room did not look great, and the gym was marginally better, but both lacking for a hotel of this price range. Breakfast had hot food and was okay overall, though nothing special. Staff were friendly and mostly helpful for everyday things, but I didn’t feel entirely confident in seeking their assistance. Altogether, a nice room and just okay amenities, and a little expensive for its offerings, in my opinion.

Bathroom faucet not working. Ice maker not working. A/c unit knobs not legible. Didn’t know if I had heat or a/c. The bed base was squeaking every time you moved! I’ve stayed in this property 5-6 times before and this was my last. Shaky neighbors in the building in front of this hotel made me and my wife feel unsafe (smoking **** and drinking alcohol in the open). Front desk acknowledged it!!

Room was clean and comfortable and quiet. There was plenty of parking. Rooms were recently remodeled. There wasn't a lot to choose from for breakfast but it was adequate. The landline in our room didn't work so if you wanted the front desk, you had to walk there. (We asked but no one came to fix it or change the burned-out light in the sauna.) When we asked for extra pillows, there were none available. The sink in the bathroom is too close to the storage shelf over it so if you bend down to wash your face, your head can touch the shelf.

This is an older hotel that has been nicely updated. It was clean and bed was firm but comfortable. A hot breakfast was newly started and the eggs were better tasting than alot of other smaller hotel buffet types . Staff was very helpful and willing to help with any needs. We would stay here again.
