I won a two night stay in a competition organised by the Times. It was wonderful we stayed in room 1 which was charming and very comfortable. We enjoyed an excellent afternoon tea with champagne and the following night a splendid dinner after drinks and canapés in the downstairs sitting room. Whilst the Tuesday night menu was limited we enjoyed everything that we had in particular my chicken and Eton mess were excellent. Breakfasts were good as well and we left feeling very spoilt and pampered. The staff were excellent and all very helpful. We had stayed before at the sister hotel near Aylesbury so our expectations were high but they were exceeded. We hope to return soon.

We stayed in one of the cottages. Very charming with its own lovely garden. Upstairs bedroom. Old fashioned but function bathroom with a powerful shower over the bath. Downstairs lounge. Reception rooms have old world charm. The spa is pleasant but windowless. The big drawback is the dinner on Monday or Tuesday. It’s a cut down version of the normal menu which would be fine but the quality and presentation are really poor. Veloute of white onion soup was more like wall paper paste and the main course chicken had been cooked to death with soggy vegetables. At £47 this was awful food and poor value. The bread was stale. The breakfast was quite good but the presentation was poor. Good finan haddock or kippers let down by no presentation skills. When I checked out the receptionist asked if everything had been ok and I mentioned the poor quality dinner. All she said was that she would mention it to the kitchen. So all in all, a beautiful hotel in wonderful gardens let down by the food.

My Husband treated me to a 3 night stay in this beautiful old manor to celebrate my 60th birthday. As members of national trust for over 15 years and regulars on staying in their lovely cottages , this was a delightful change to stay here and have a touch of luxury and service . We stayed in the lovely Mostyn suite that was truelly beautiful. Extremely clean, comfortable bed and serviced every day by the hard working housekeeping team. The food is excellent with a separate vegan/vegetarian menu which was great for myself. Service at this wonderful charmed filled hotel is excellent. Special thanks to Will, he was so helpful with our bags and has wonderful customer service. Thank you to Tom & Jay for your excellent service at dinner time. You both made our evening extra special. Thank you all for your hard work which can be extra challenging in this very hot weather.

Amazing place. The grounds are stunning! We went for a two night stay over for our wedding anniversary and stayed in the Gingerbread House. Wonderful! Plenty of room and comfy bed. Power shower too which really got you going! Spa is lovely and my wife had an exhilarating (her words not mine) facial and back massage! Staff are welcoming and can't do enough for you. Food is amazing too! Can't recommend enough and a shout out for Kaya (hope that's spelt right) who really looked after us in the restaurant! As Arnie says 'we'll be back'!

Delivered to expectations and more. Oozing old world charm, Bodysgallen is neither tired nor frayed. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, with good quality linen. The ‘shower in bath’ is dated, but the excellent shower pressure earned forgiveness. The lounges and bar area are comfortable and welcoming. The dining room demands quiet conversation, not for decorum’s sake, but the extraordinary acoustics mean that you can hear everyone else’s conversations. And them, yours! Our three courses were really good - our mains of Lamb and Duck cooked to perfection. I really liked the simple and affordable wine list. Service was friendly and professional. The hotel grounds are beautiful, with lovely gardens and good, accessible walks. We did not try the Spa. Perhaps next time.

This traditional high end hotel is set in 200 acres of impeccably kempt gardens outside Conwy and accessed via a long driveway through the grounds. On entering the main hall and being welcomed by the concierge, you are immediately taken back into a time when dress, manners and etiquette really mattered. After enjoying canopies, my wife and I were shown into the splendid dining room and waited on by a very professional waiter and waitress, both attentive but not intrusive. All three courses we enjoyed were magnificent, clearly prepared by a very experienced and talented chef whose culinary skills blended perfectly with the hotel’s ethos. The hotel offers luxury accommodation both in the main building and in cottages set in the grounds. The hotel really is the BEST OF THE BEST.

We were here mid-May for a family wedding, experiencing lunch, dinner and an overnight stay with breakfast. Location and ambience World-class, a couple of miles away from the centre of tourist-ridden Llandudno. The gardens are a joy to experience, offering a variety of garden ‘rooms’ and terraces, meticulously maintained. Wedding Venue The Wynn Room is an excellent venue for a civil ceremony, witnessed by up to 50 people. Restaurant and service We had very good quality food for all three dining experiences, with professional and on-point service to match. Bedroom My wife and I enjoyed a large bedroom on the first floor which housed a very large bed, plenty of wardrobe space, a Nespresso machine etc. The only aspect that needed improving was the bathroom, which was rather dated. Sitting rooms The two sitting rooms were comfortable and elegant, containing quality antique furniture. Spa Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to experience the spa on this occasion, but from previous visits, the quality of service and leisure and well-being aspects is maintained in the Spa, which is in an adjacent building. To sum up - a very positive experience indeed!
