W Barcelona

A pleasant stay with a sea view. Convenient for walks along the beach, and the service was good. The room facilities are a bit old, but overall it was fine. If you want to add breakfast, you have to add all breakfasts to get the discounted rate, which is a bit unreasonable.

This is my second time at W Barcelona. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so it wasn't too crowded. Both times, checking in took a long time. I paid to upgrade to a king room with a view at the front desk, which came out to about 5000 a night, but honestly, it felt pretty average. There are no shops or Chinese restaurants nearby, and ordering delivery takes forever. The bar on the 2nd floor closes quite early; we barely had any time to relax before it shut down. Breakfast was good and tasty, but the staff were so busy that getting our coffee took ages.

The room amenities were as described online, though the beds looked quite old and the facilities were generally average. The lighting in the room was a bit dim. However, the service was definitely on point, and the sea view and location were arguably the best. The gym was also a thoughtful touch, with water and towels placed on every treadmill.

The air conditioning in the room was so loud, I couldn't sleep all night. They also wouldn't let me have a late check-out.

The rooms are a bit old, and while it's a popular spot for influencers, it definitely doesn't live up to the price. The service was bad; it took forever to check in. Breakfast had limited options, the fruit wasn't fresh, and the service was incredibly slow and inefficient. I won't be staying here again.

Absolutely terrible, the worst five-star hotel ever. Avoid at all costs!

The W Hotel boasts the best location on Barcelona beach. I recommend booking a high-floor room if possible; the sunrise views in the morning are absolutely stunning. After checking in, I suggest heading straight to the beach. The hotel has its own small private beach area accessible from the basement level, and guests get complimentary use of sun loungers and towels. The outdoor pool on the ground floor is fantastic, with many European and American tourists enjoying the sun. My tip is to have breakfast early, as the number of sun loungers on either side of the pool is limited. On Sunday evenings, the hotel hosts a pool party, which is free for guests with a room card. Non-guests have to queue and pay an entrance fee, and the atmosphere at the pool party is really great.
