Red Horse Mountain Ranch

Beautiful scenery for even the simplist horse rides, unbelievably friendly, helpful staff that will do anything and everything to make your stay enjoyable. It IS out in the middle of nowhere, but that makes it even more enjoyable. Food was fantastic, and what they offer in things to do fill up your day, no problem.

Just back from the RHMR women’s only week. It was hands down the best experience ever. The ranch managers, Rob and Ashley sure do know how to run a ranch. The location is surreal, surrounded by lakes and mountains. The cabins are authentic and cosy with incredible views. They are spotlessly clean. The only noises you’ll hear is the wildlife and the horses. In the main lodge, which is close by the cabins, there’s unlimited hot/cold drinks and snacks available from 6am until 10pm. Laundry service is available if you need it. The food is like nothing I’ve tasted before. Huge shout out to Hannah, Donovan and Shelby and their team in the kitchen. Three full meals a day with every dietary requirement catered to. If you fancy a sarnie instead of a cooked lunch, just let them know. The staff …….. whoever does the hiring knows how to pick’ em. Every single RHMR staff member is a credit to the ranch. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them. So friendly and accommodating. I instantly felt at home and part of the RHMR family. That’s exactly what it feels like, a big happy family. All staff get on so well which was obvious at the night events we shared with them. Watching the staff swing dance was a sight to behold. Thank you to Summer who drove us into Harrison early one morning for an impromptu moose hunt. A moose and her baby made an appearance by the road side on the way there and another moose was spotted on the way back. Last but not least, the horses. There’s around 100 horses on the ranch. The wranglers and other staff love them all and it’s clear they look after them very well. It was lovely to see non-wrangler staff join some treks and learn to ride. Even after the horses are retired they still have a home at the ranch. The horses are well rested in between groups of visitors. What could RHMR improve on? Absolutely nothing! RHMR has truly nailed the Dude Ranch Experience. Well done to every single member of this incredible team. I’ll be seeing you next year.

What an incredible family reunion! We had 26 family members together for an unforgettable experience filled with fun, adventure, and memories we’ll cherish forever. There was truly something for everyone—archery, clay shooting, horseback riding twice a day for riders of every experience level, mountain biking, kayaking, a challenge course, pottery, a zip line, swimming, and relaxing in the hot tub. And to top it all off, there was live music and a saloon for everyone to enjoy! The staff were absolutely wonderful—so accommodating, friendly, and attentive to our entire group. And having all of the food and alcohol included made the experience even better and so easy for a large family gathering. This was, without a doubt, our favorite family trip ever! If you're looking for a place where everyone can have fun, relax, try new things, and make incredible memories together, this is it. You will not be disappointed! ❤️🐎🏹🤠

The horses are happy and well trained, the staff are super friendly and accommodating, and the food is top notch. There are a lot of activities to choose from in addition to the riding. We did archery, clay shooting, kayaking, zip lining, and more! My 5 and a 1/2 year old niece also had an amazing time doing the kids program activities and made tons of friends. There is almost no WiFi so it’s a great time to bond with your family for a week sans phone time. Highly recommend! I’ll definitely be back.

My friend and I went for Red Horse’s designated women’s week and had the best time. Everything was extremely organized from the booking process, to the schedule of activities to choose from each day, to the meals, and the horse you’re assigned with for the week. (I had the pleasure of being paired up with Rick James all week) The staff were all very personable and seemed genuinely happy to be there doing their jobs. The horses are well cared for, there are a good variety of rides to choose from all week, and the additional activities you can choose to do are super fun too. It was like being at horse camp for adults. Food was great too and you will not be hungry and there is a different evening activity every night and they were all fun. It’s been a month and I’ve still been telling family and friends about how great it was. My friend is not nearly as into horses as I am, and she also loved the whole experience. If you’re looking for a dude ranch, I highly recommend this one.

This was our second year coming . We loved our stay . Everyone was so kind and helpful. The food was amazing . The young people working were the best . Can not say enough how wonderful this place is .

A ranch trip was always on my bucket list. I reviewed many options before booking with RHMR. I after many calls and emails to the ranch I decide this was the best ranch. I was a solo traveler for part of my trip as my daughter needed to go back to work. Everyone made me so comfortable and part of the group. The trip I selected was an adult only week. I'm so happy with the decision. Mandy reservations manager along with other office staff was amazing. They were so accommodating and patient as I planned my trip. The ranch staff, food lodging and activities were top notch. The horses were absolutely beautiful and well cared for. There were 38 guests the week of my trip which was perfect. Not overcrowded. I met some of the best people from far and wide. the accommodations were clean and well maintained. The food was absolutely amazing. The activities that were offered was perfect. There was something for everyone. I can't say enough about the experience. The ranch had a campfire night with great entertainment, wine night with a 6 course meal. The Jam Shack band in the Saloon was the best of the best. We had so much fun. I would highly recommend this ranch. RHMR has figured it out to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your trip. What a great place! Everything was top notch, from the staff to the food to the activities. They took care of everything! With very limited internet you get to relax and forget about the outside world. Highly recommend!
