Out of all the Indigo hotels I've stayed at, the Hong Kong one is pretty mediocre, on par with a budget hotel like Hanting (Hampton by Hilton in China), nothing more. The front desk requires a cash deposit or a credit card pre-authorization. This time I forgot my card and opted for Alipay, and then the hotel did something truly baffling: they came to my room and cleared out all the mini-bar items... 😂😂😂😂😂 I don't understand what kind of logic makes them think I'd try to swindle them out of those practically worthless mini-bar snacks. 😅😅😅
Also, the electrical outlets in this hotel are old-fashioned and very scarce, and they don't even provide complimentary drinking water, which was another surprise. I wouldn't recommend adding breakfast; there's hardly anything to eat, just some bread and a few pre-packaged dishes, with no local specialties whatsoever.
The location is decent, on Queen's Road East, right near Wan Chai MTR station. Hong Kong's service industry really needs to step up its game.
