The InterContinental Dameisha is a landmark in Dameisha, and it's well-known, having hosted countless friends. Although it's been open for some time, the room facilities are still well-maintained with no musty smell, which is quite impressive for a hotel so close to the sea. In terms of value for money and comfort for a resort hotel, it's more appealing than Le Meridien, although the beach cleanliness, sand quality, and views are slightly less impressive. The 328 RMB buffet price is justified by the quality of the food; the dessert cakes, my favorite, offer a richer variety and better taste than those at five-star hot spring hotels in the province. Oysters, thick-cut salmon, and crayfish are all available for a hearty feast! Overall, despite the typhoon during our holiday, the hotel was still incredibly popular! It's best to visit during off-peak times to truly enjoy the vast sea and sky of the Eastern Bay.

Overall, it's pretty good. The executive club is quite private, the infinity pool is beautiful, and it's convenient for playing in the sand. The afternoon tea at the executive lounge gets a thumbs up. However, the room condition is just average. For a holiday price of 4.5k+ it doesn't feel premium or high-tech enough, and the resort vibe isn't as strong as expected.

The scenery is great, and good weather is indeed the best filter for a seaside view. Our room was right outside the pool and the ocean. I chose this hotel specifically for its private beach, which means fewer tourists. The executive wing is even quieter and has an infinity pool, which is perfect for photos. There's also a small lawn nearby where you can play golf.

We were very satisfied with all the parent-child activities and facilities at the hotel. It's very close to the outlet mall, and there are many dining options nearby. It's a great place for families with kids to stroll, shop, and relax. However, I have to complain about the travel photography service. It was advertised as including five photos, and I understand paying extra for additional photos. But it's ridiculous that they charge extra for edited photos. In the end, I just took the five unedited photos, which looked worse than what I could take with my phone. This is the first time I've encountered such a situation with a hotel's in-house photography service.

InterContinental never disappoints; the experience is consistently excellent. Even during the busy National Day holiday, the resort was impeccably maintained, with fully equipped beaches and pools. The attentive service makes it perfect for a family vacation with kids. The buffet was fantastic, with plenty of juicy hairy crabs! Special shout-out to the Guest Relations department; they always responded promptly to my messages, even late at night! The service was incredibly thoughtful!

The room was quite spacious, perfect for our family of four traveling together. The room service was very meticulous, and our requests were promptly attended to. Overall, everything was pretty good. The only slight downside was that some of the facilities felt a bit outdated, probably because the hotel is a bit older. But the good service made up for it, so it was acceptable. The hotel has its own beach and pool right outside, which was the main reason we booked it, and the kids had a great time.

First off, the check-in time was indeed quite long, but it's understandable given it was peak summer season. They even offered drinks while we waited, which was a nice touch! As an InterContinental member, I also received two complimentary drinks at the bar. The hotel's facilities are excellent. I went for a spa treatment while my child and husband went swimming – a perfect arrangement. As soon as I finished my spa, the butler notified me that our room key was ready! There was also a welcome fruit platter in the room. The room's view was absolutely unbeatable! We truly felt at home and enjoyed every moment. However, I actually found the breakfast to be even better than the dinner buffet. The oil-splashed noodles at breakfast were delicious 😋, and the chef who made them had such character, clearly demonstrating his passion for food. I really admire him! Thumbs up to him! 👍 For dinner, the seafood wasn't very fresh; the oysters and crab meat were quite loose. Plus, on the second night, we wanted to try the Southeast Asian restaurant, but upon arrival, many dishes were unavailable, which was a bit disappointing, so we left to eat elsewhere. Also, the restaurant closes at 9:30 PM. Overall, having stayed at this hotel over 10 years ago, returning now with my child, I still highly recommend it! The pool and beach are amazing, offering great privacy for guests! We will definitely be back 😊

This was my second stay, and even during the bustling National Day holiday, the service was consistently excellent! The location is superb, and the private beach is very clean! Next time, I'll definitely try out the executive lounge. The hotel breakfast also offers a wide variety of choices! I highly recommend the Cantonese King Mansion restaurant within the hotel – you can't go wrong with their food! We stayed for two days and ate there four times.

The hotel's beach is uncrowded and clean, with clear waters, and it's super close to walk from the room to the beach. My child went digging in the sand two or three times every day. The infinity pool is also beautiful, and there's a small lawn next to the pool where you can practice golf. My child also took the shuttle bus to the main building every day to play video games. The kids' club in the main building is relatively small and more suitable for toddlers. The service from the club butler, concierge, restaurant staff, and housekeeping was excellent and well-trained. The only area I think could be improved is the food and beverage in the executive lounge. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it tastes good – more of a quality over quantity type (though it was exactly the same every day for the three days we stayed...). The afternoon tea and happy hour were barely better than nothing. Overall, it's still a very suitable hotel for a family staycation.
