Hyatt Regency Metropolitan Chongqing

The room was super clean and spacious and the location was amazing! I would stay here again if I’m back in chongqing!

excellent location - literally steps away from liberation monument (jiefangbei) & bayi food street, also walkable to 罗汉寺 (luohansi / arahat temple) breakfast was quite nice, quite a side variety and the soy milk & 油条 in particular are delicious! However, this is not a new property, so the room feels a little dated, windows are a little scratched and it impacted the views. The hotel amenities are not on par for a 5-star hotel (especially in China where amenities are on another level)! The in-room coffee & tea are very basic (twinnings, 3-in-1) which was disappointing. Service was good, we got a room upgrade during non-peak season :) the staff automatically upgraded us without any prior requests! when the room we were allocated had a smoke smell, they also switched our rooms swiftly.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Jiefangbei. Perfect location, walking distance from Hongyadong and the Liberation Monument. The room is spacious and well maintained, breakfast is generous and well put together. But what truly made the stay enjoyable was the staff. Shazz from the breakfast and restaurant team deserves a special mention , attentive, always available, with that kind of genuine care you can't fake. Every morning she made you feel like a regular, not just another guest passing through. Kidi at reception was equally outstanding. professional, efficient, and with a warmth that goes well beyond just doing the job. Her English is excellent and she has a natural ability to make solo travelers feel at ease in an unfamiliar city. In a hotel of this category, service can often feel anonymous and standardized. Here it's different, you can tell the people actually care. That makes all the difference. Highly recommended without hesitation.
