Itsukushien

The food was delicious. I was anxious after the earthquake, but a guest who had come from Kitakami kindly spoke to me in the open-air bath, which warmed my heart.

It was a little more expensive than a regular business hotel, but it was nice that it had an open-air bath. Perhaps because it was a weekday and out of the autumn foliage season, there were few guests and the open-air bath was almost all to ourselves.

The hotel strives to maintain its former glory, even retaining a decades-old horn lock, evoking a sense of nostalgia. However, the weathered facilities speak of the passage of time and its relentless passage. Located near a stream, the sound of its gentle flow, like a natural symphony, completely soothes away fatigue.

I made a last-minute reservation and stayed there, but I was very satisfied. The bath had an open-air bath. Breakfast was included, and there were so many dishes that I was completely full. I went with my sister, and we made some wonderful memories.

The rooms were reasonably clean for an old hotel, but since it's a hot spring, I'd like the baths to be more attractive. The quality of the hot spring is passable, but it's a shame that the sauna was closed due to the infectious disease issue, and the open-air baths are not being used as they should be.

The room is quite old and has not been renovated for many years. However, this hotel is a state guesthouse of Japan, and is visited by many locals. The Yanbi Gorge scenic spot is a bit disappointing, and is not as fun as the nearby Geibikei Gorge.

Although the transportation is not very convenient, the hotel has a free shuttle bus to easily reach the hotel. The triple room I stayed in was quite spacious, clean and tidy, and the bathroom and toilet were independent, which was also very good. The only pity was that the bathroom did not seem to be a hot spring!? Breakfast and dinner are rich and delicious
