The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong

It truly lives up to its reputation as one of the best 5-star luxury hotels in Hong Kong. From check-in to check-out, the service was impeccable. As soon as I arrived, a bellhop took my luggage and delivered it straight to my room—tipping is recommended, of course, so I gave HKD 20. Having lived abroad for a long time, I've made tipping a habit as a way to acknowledge great service. Every time I went in or out, staff were there to hold the doors, press the elevator buttons, and greet me. The room was spotlessly clean. After a 10+ hour flight, I took a shower and rested a bit after checking in, then headed out in the evening for dinner and shopping. When I returned, the room had been turned down immaculately, with the bottled water restocked, plus a very thoughtful welcome amenity of fresh fruit and chocolates. The room view was unbeatable. The breakfast didn't blow me away—it was pretty standard—but sitting by the window, eating while enjoying the view was fantastic!

The views are unbeatable, but the facilities are a bit dated, though they are clean and tidy. Also, the in-room dining food was just average; room service should really be up to the same standard. The saltwater in the pool was very comfortable, and the rooftop ping-pong table was a pleasant surprise.

The hotel lobby is on the 103rd floor. After realizing we had executive lounge access, the staff personally escorted us all the way to the 116th floor for check-in. Instead of a stiff, routine check-in at a front desk, the staff first ushered us to a window-side seat and quietly asked what drinks we'd like. This turned what could have been a mundane check-in process into a very pleasant memory from our trip! As night fell, the entire city of Hong Kong gradually lit up beneath us – the night view from the window was truly breathtaking! Truly excellent service isn't just about flawlessly executing procedures; it's about making guests feel natural, comfortable, and genuinely valued in every interaction!

An absolutely fantastic experience! The location is incredibly convenient, right above Kowloon MTR station, making it easy to get anywhere, and the Airport Express takes only 20 minutes to reach. The Elements shopping mall downstairs is also great for browsing. The luxury of The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong goes without saying, and the service is attentive and warm, with staff fluent in both Mandarin and English. My favorite part was definitely the breakfast view – absolutely stunning!

Arrived at the hotel around noon. The elevator to the 9th floor was packed to capacity; even though there weren't many people behind us, the staff didn't arrange for the next elevator, which gave us a bad first impression. During check-in, I was a bit surprised to get our room right away, but upon going up, we found it was definitely not a Victoria Harbour view room. When we spoke with the front desk, they said no other rooms were available and told us to contact our Trip.com butler instead. The subsequent handling was still unsatisfactory. Fortunately, our butler, Xiao Qian, followed up persistently, and we finally moved to a room with a view similar to the pictures. However, my favorable impression of The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong took a big hit from that point on. Housekeeping was good and tidied up according to our preferences. The facilities matched the hotel's star rating; after all, given the age of the renovation, one shouldn't expect too much.

Terrible experience. First, let's talk about the hygiene: the facilities are outdated—there was mold on the chairs and also in the bathroom—and the room lighting was dim. When we called ahead of time, we were promised that a kids' tent would be set up for us in advance, but that wasn't done, and the children's amenities weren't prepared either. When we called the front desk, we were put on hold for a long time, and the staff response was slow. All in all, this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Everything here is unfriendly to the elderly and children, and the staff primarily speak English. I do not recommend staying here if you are traveling with elderly family members or kids.

The service was exceptionally attentive and the staff incredibly friendly. The room offered a nice view, though it was a bit disappointing that we could only see a small part of the Victoria Harbour fireworks. The location is excellent, with a shopping mall and MTR station right downstairs.

We were especially delighted when the hotel proactively upgraded us to a sea-view room and prepared a wonderful birthday surprise with a cake and a card – such thoughtful details that truly warmed our hearts. The hygiene and facilities were impeccable, and the staff's service was gentle and attentive. The entire experience exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it!

Staying alone in a high-floor room offered expansive views and a delightful landscape, and the room itself was clean and tidy. The hotel environment was elegant and tranquil, and the staff provided exceptionally thoughtful service. It happened to be my birthday during my stay, and they even specially gifted a cake, adding a wonderful touch of ceremony. The facilities were excellent, and I felt completely relaxed and comfortable throughout my stay. It was a truly unforgettable experience.
