I booked a room through Trip.com during Chinese New Year. When I checked in, I asked at the front desk and found out the room faced Lantau Island. I wanted a room facing Victoria Harbour, so I paid an extra fee for the upgrade. The hotel environment is absolutely stunning 👍, and the service is exceptional 👍. It's a total of 118 floors, with the front desk on the 103rd floor. We stayed on the 109th floor, and the view was incredible, truly amazing! 👍 The 102nd floor has a Michelin-starred restaurant, and the environment and service there were also beyond reproach! 👍

The 'cloud experience' at the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong truly lives up to its name. Perched atop the ICC building, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and the city skyline. Upon check-in, the staff immediately offered cold towels and welcome tea, which instantly washed away my travel fatigue. The hotel facilities are well-maintained and generally feel quite new. Complimentary large bottled mineral water in the room was a thoughtful touch. The only slight disappointment was not receiving a breakfast upgrade on my birthday, which was a bit of a letdown from my expectations.

It was alright, I guess, but didn't quite live up to my expectations. The room design was pretty standard, and the facilities felt a bit outdated – no smart toilet, for instance. The salmon rice for breakfast, ordered à la carte, was a highlight, but there weren't many other standout features. The welcome fruit was just two oranges, which felt a bit underwhelming for the price.

The hotel boasts beautiful decor and a prime location, but the room facilities are quite dated. The leather on the chairs was cracked, and the furniture showed considerable wear and tear. I'm not sure if I was given an older room because I booked a promotional rate. The toiletries were very basic, much inferior to similar hotels on the mainland, at best comparable to an InterContinental or Hilton. Of course, in a city where space is at a premium like Hong Kong, this might be the best service the hotel can offer. The check-in staff at other hotels were rather indifferent, but the restaurant service was relatively warmer. Overall, aside from the acceptable room cleanliness, everything else was a bit disappointing. The breakfast, however, was excellent.

The location isn't great. Taxis have to take a long detour to get in, and there's always traffic when you leave. It's not easy to walk out from here either. The elevators are always crowded, so you have to wait. There's a construction site downstairs, and Sky100 is also under renovation. It's supposed to be a high-rise hotel with great views, but the room windows are incredibly grimy – the dirtiest I've ever seen! With so many guests, why can't they afford to clean the windows? On the first night, after dinner, we were in the elevator with some foreigners going up to the hotel. When we reached the lobby, someone rushed over and asked us where we were from. We had to show our room cards before they let us go. Why didn't they ask the foreigners? The soundproofing is poor; there was constant banging from upstairs. The bathroom doesn't even have an automatic toilet, the water pressure is terrible, and the toilet paper won't flush – it's ridiculous. It's been cold lately; for the first two days, the AC reached 24 degrees, but after that, it was only cold air. I had to add a bathrobe to sleep, shivering. I definitely won't choose this hotel again.

Overall, it was a very good stay. The service was excellent, especially in the executive lounge dining area. If I don't find a better option next time, I'd likely choose to stay here again. It would be even better if the cleanliness could be a little more meticulous. Some of the in-room facilities are a bit old, especially the toilet, which isn't very responsive; I had to manually lift the lid most of the time.

Extremely satisfied! The sea view was absolutely stunning, and my friend loved it so much! 🥰 Even though the weather in Hong Kong wasn't great on the day we took photos, I still adored the environment, the service, and the breakfast. It's also super convenient for getting around, being right near the West Kowloon MTR station.
