Shanheshi 360° Panoramic Skyview Guesthouse (Zhenyuan Ancient Town)

The location is fantastic, right on the ancient city's pedestrian street. The environment is lovely, the room is clean and hygienic, and the viewing platform offers an absolutely superb view. The front desk concierge service was also excellent.

The room was spotless and, most importantly, odor-free. We even received complimentary afternoon tea. The bedding and facilities were quite new, and the air conditioning was turned on before our arrival. There's also a butler group chat service and free station pick-up and drop-off. Overall, a great experience.

From setting up a WeChat group to waiting for us by the roadside in advance, the service was truly impeccable. Messages in the group were almost instantly replied to – I can't even fathom why they were so incredibly proactive! All the staff were young, vibrant, and very chatty. They gave us great recommendations for food and attractions in Zhenyuan. The guesthouse's location is superb, right by the new bridge in the old town. You can drive right up to the entrance to drop off luggage before parking across the street. The welcome fruit, oranges and grapes, was very fresh. The room was spotlessly clean, and the view was excellent. The real highlight, though, was the scenic garden terrace, which offered a truly 360-degree view. We had such a comfortable stay here. Due to time constraints, we only stayed one night; otherwise, I would have swapped our Miao village night for another stay here. We'll definitely be back next time!

The location, style, service, and ambiance of this guesthouse are all excellent, I loved it! You can really enjoy the beautiful scenery in peace and quiet. The guesthouse is halfway up the mountain, so you have to park your car in a designated parking lot across the bridge (not the guesthouse's own, and quite expensive at 50 yuan/day, but the guesthouse owner will reimburse guests via WeChat after they pay upfront). Several friendly young men arrived at the parking lot early to help us with our luggage. When we left, they again helped us take our luggage downstairs and load it into the car, and even shared stories about Zhenyuan Ancient Town's history and the guesthouse itself during our chat. We had originally booked three rooms facing the mountain, but the owner upgraded all of them to rooms overlooking the river and the night view. The room layout was very clean and comfortable, and even the toilet seats were unique. Each of our rooms had a balcony where we could dry clothes. The complimentary afternoon tea was also lovely and delicious. Sitting on the balcony was very relaxing, and we could also enjoy the night view from there, or from the rooftop. The breakfast was quite good too.

Fantastic location right by the bridge, offering breathtaking views of the ancient town. The guesthouse service was also excellent; the manager was very welcoming. Parking in the ancient town can be tricky, but the guesthouse staff even helped carry our luggage to the car. The local snacks for breakfast were also a delightful and unique touch. Highly recommended!

Even though our room was located on the side, I still have to commend the hotel's service. From helping with luggage to providing local tips, they were incredibly attentive. The hotel also has its own observation deck, which is super convenient as you don't have to deal with crowds on the bridge.

I don't usually write reviews, but my stay at Shanheshi Guesthouse during this Zhenyuan trip was truly amazing. The building was once Mr. Shu Wanling's old soy sauce factory, so it naturally carries the profound historical charm of the ancient town. The guesthouse's spaces are elegant, with exquisite floral arrangements everywhere, creating a warm and healing atmosphere. The rooftop terrace is the highlight, offering panoramic views of the ancient town. The 'influencer' street sign is perfect for photos, and waiting for dusk to fall in the evening, the scenery is breathtaking. It's a rare pet-friendly guesthouse, so you can comfortably bring your dog along. The staff were warmly enthusiastic and proactively shared local travel tips; their service felt natural and unforced. The location is excellent, making it very convenient to enter and exit the ancient town. Away from the hustle and bustle of the streets, yet surrounded by beautiful mountain and river scenery, it's perfect for settling down and experiencing Zhenyuan. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

The night view from the B&B's balcony was absolutely amazing, with the 'Immortal Tree' lighting up only at midnight. You get a panoramic view of the entire ancient town's night scenery. Plus, the BBQ recommended by the housekeeper was fantastic and offered great value for money. I'll definitely come back for another vacation during the off-season next time.

The views are fantastic, right in the middle of the old town, with a large observation deck offering panoramic vistas.
