JI Hotel (Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area)

Location-wise, it's about a 10-minute walk to the entrance of the scenic area. The family room is very spacious with two separate rooms and two bathrooms, making it comfortable overall. However, the door design in the main room is quite impractical; the bathroom and shower doors tend to collide, perhaps due to space constraints. As for service, the hotel staff were all very helpful, assisting with laundry drying and even providing bottled water when we left.

The hotel is relatively new and quiet, and I had a very satisfying stay. The staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, always willing to help. It's about a 10-minute walk to the entrance of the scenic area, and there are restaurants right next door, which is very convenient.

Great location! It's about a 10-minute walk to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. The hotel is surrounded by lively streets with plenty of restaurants. The room was a bit small, though.

I chose this hotel myself, so I guess I only have myself to blame for my poor judgment. Before visiting Jiuzhaigou, I spent a long time researching and saw many negative reviews for this hotel. I naively hoped for the best, but ended up experiencing so many problems that I'm absolutely furious and quite upset. For those who doubt the 'evil' of the Hanting Premium Hotel, please take note: During a rare summer holiday, my whole family came to Jiuzhaigou. After researching online, we decided it would be best to stay close to the Jiuzhaigou scenic area entrance with children in tow. I looked at several chain hotels on Trip.com. The Hanting Premium Hotel was conveniently located and a known brand, but its reviews showed numerous complaints about service, air conditioning, and room types (see negative reviews on Trip.com). I naively wondered if these were just malicious attacks from competitors. I thought that even if there were issues, I could avoid them by booking early and providing detailed remarks. As naive as I was, I booked a week in advance on Trip.com, making sure to include clear instructions (see order details). Still not reassured, I even added them on WeChat to follow up. Did any of that help? Not at all: We arrived at 1 PM and were given a high-floor room. Upon entering, we found the air conditioning was very poor. The front desk explained it was a water-cooled system and would improve later. They brought us a fan, but it was covered in mold (see photos). We then swapped it for a Midea fan, which had a fan guard full of static dust (forgot to take a picture). Gritting my teeth, I disassembled the fan and cleaned it myself. After dinner at around 8 PM, the outdoor temperature was probably around 20 degrees Celsius, but the indoor temperature was still 26-27 degrees. We were all sweating profusely. It was unbearable. An engineer came with a ladder and said that water-cooled AC takes a long time to cool down. My family, still naive, waited until 11 PM, but my child was still sweating and couldn't sleep. We requested a room change, only to be told that the only available room was a small one on the first floor with a tiny window facing the opposite building. We flew 2000 kilometers, arrived at our Jiuzhaigou accommodation at noon, only to be asked in the middle of the night if we wanted to change rooms. Are we, the tourists, just fools with too much money, walking blindly into traps? I don't want to discuss whether Hanting Premium Hotel is incompetent or unethical. I just hope that Hanting Premium Hotel disappears from my future itineraries. Stay far away from bad people, bad situations, and bad hotels. What a shame for the beautiful scenery of Jiuzhaigou.

The location is okay; it's about a ten-minute walk to the entrance. The room had a good partition. Late check-out incurs an additional fee. The parking lot was chaotic with no one directing traffic.

This hotel is excellent. First, the location is incredibly convenient. It's right in Zangwang Plaza, which is also where the Jiuyue shuttle bus stops. Just book your Jiuyue tickets in advance for the round trip; buses run every half hour. Right opposite the hotel is a stunning cliff – quite breathtaking to see for the first time. Second, the dining options are plentiful. There's a KFC downstairs, Starbucks and Luckin Coffee next door. For local specialties, I highly recommend Mima, which is right next door; it has an elegant atmosphere and surprisingly good dishes. Another great option is Yingtao, which has built quite a reputation. Third, the hotel itself lives up to the usual high standards of a Hanting Hotel. Having laundry and drying facilities is such a lifesaver for families traveling.

Although the room was small, it was very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The best part was how convenient it was for food, and it was only a short 10-15 minute walk to the scenic spots.

Breakfast was just okay, but the hotel is very close to the attractions and the soundproofing in the rooms is good.
