Abaca Messidor by Happyculture

I stayed at the Hotel Abaca Messidor by HappyCulture for 7 consecutive nights while attending the Paris Motor Show. Overall, I am quite satisfied and would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The biggest highlight of the hotel is its location. It's about a 15-minute walk to the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, making the commute to the exhibition center very convenient. Located in the Vaugirard district of the 15th arrondissement, the surrounding area is well-developed with plenty of supermarkets, bakeries, and restaurants. The neighborhood feels safe and secure—a bustling yet safe urban area—and taking the metro to other attractions in Paris is also very easy. The room is typical of older Parisian buildings, meaning it isn't very spacious. Once luggage is laid flat on the floor, walking space inside becomes quite limited, but this is pretty standard for hotels of the same tier in Paris. The room is well-equipped with air conditioning, a safe, and stable, reliable free Wi-Fi. The bedding is comfortable, and the basic amenities easily meet the needs of a longer stay. The hotel also features a small courtyard equipped with a water dispenser and a coffee machine. There is a 24-hour front desk with friendly staff, and luggage storage is available. The elevator is very small—holding a maximum of 3 people—so guests with large luggage will need to take separate trips. The buffet breakfast is quite good overall, featuring both sweet and savory options, including a solid variety of bread, cold cuts, dairy, and fruit, which is relatively extensive for a hotel of this caliber in Europe. The downsides are also quite obvious: due to the nature of older buildings, the soundproofing is average, meaning voices from the hallway and adjacent rooms easily carry through. Also, the hotel is close to a metro line, so even on the 4th floor, you can regularly feel and hear the rumble of passing trains. Light sleepers are advised to pack earplugs. The overall facilities show their age, which is a common issue with older Parisian hotels. Considering the location and price, it's a great fit for travelers visiting for short exhibitions or trade shows, though those with light sleep should think twice before booking.

Wonderful hotel! The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Housekeeping cleans the room daily, and the entire hotel is spotless. The location is super convenient too. I definitely recommend it!

I forgot to take pictures, but it pretty much looks like what other reviewers have uploaded. The highlight is a small garden, though it was cold in winter without any sun. There's nothing else special about the place. However, the surrounding area is quite good; even though it's not right in the city center, everything is convenient. It's definitely not worth the 1200+ price, but there's nothing I can do about it.

Many famous attractions are within walking distance, and the surrounding area is full of French bakeries and charming restaurants, making daily commutes and dining very easy. The hotel's decor is a refined French style—simple yet elegant and cozy. The public areas are clean, tidy, and have a great ambiance. Our room was well-organized with ample natural light, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet night's sleep without any disturbances, which greatly enhanced the quality of our rest. Even during the hot summer, the air conditioning worked perfectly, making our stay very pleasant. The front desk staff were professional and welcoming, providing attentive and patient service. They proactively offered us advice on sightseeing routes and travel tips, and check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The breakfast spread was rich and varied, featuring freshly made omelets, exquisite pastries, fresh fruits and vegetables, and freshly squeezed juices—a complete and authentic French breakfast that tasted superb. The overall experience was flawless, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris!

Great stay, totally worth it! We loved the hotel so much, I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit. Plus, it's right next to the subway.
