One of the best hotels I ever been!!! I stayed in a rain forest villa and it was wonderful! Everything was perfect !!! The private beach is great, the best beach in Lamgkawi! Stay in this hotel some days (at least 2-3 days), It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience!!

The pinnacle of resort hotels. This hotel offers the best of both worlds: a forest and a beach vacation. Seeing some small animals was a delightful experience. It's a good idea to check the local weather before you go, as there's not much to do during the rainy season.

My stay at The Datai Langkawi was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the rainforest with direct access to the beach, the resort offers the perfect blend of nature and luxury. 5/5 — A Truly Magical Stay in the Rainforest We had a wonderful and incredibly relaxing stay at The Datai Langkawi. From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely top-notch. every staff member made us feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. It was impressive (and touching) that many of them greeted us by name throughout our stay. The level of hospitality here is on another level. The room was perfect — beautifully designed, spacious, and surrounded by nature. Stepping out into the rainforest felt surreal, like being in a different world. During our stay, we spotted hornbills, macaques, and dusky leaf monkeys (also known as spectacled langurs) with their distinctive white “spectacles.” Such an incredible experience to be so close to wildlife in their natural habitat. The pool and beach were both fantastic, quiet and serene, with excellent service all around. The restaurants were excellent as well — consistently delicious food, whether breakfast or dinner, paired with attentive, warm service. Every moment felt effortless and peaceful. We loved our stay so much that we’ve decided to make The Datai our annual short getaway.

The facilities and hygiene were excellent, and the dining was also good. Although it's no longer a new hotel, it's very well-maintained, and the location is great. The beach is fine-grained, and the beach club is perfect for relaxing. The rainforest trekking guide was also excellent. However, the service was mediocre and didn't match the hotel's positioning; I wouldn't say it was bad, but it certainly wasn't great. If you go in with low expectations, you might be pleasantly surprised.

The service was impeccable, and the environment was wonderful. There were plenty of activities, and my child and I unlocked quite a few new skills together. The only minor downside is that getting to and from town is a bit of a distance from the hotel, but otherwise, everything was fantastic.
