We booked for a night as we were going to a concert in nearby city hall. We are aged 80 and 84. Once we’re had got into hotel it was fine but the steps to get in were very challenging. The room was ok and bed very comfortable but it only had one working plug socket. It was a bit if an. Attic room so glad it was just for one now get. Staff were good and breakfast very goid

The hotel is a beautiful old building in the centre of town. Very convenient for everywhere.
We were asked to wait in the bar as we were unable to check in as the WiFi was not working. One hour later we were let into our room with the staff card. This could’ve been done earlier. It appears the hotel has only very young staff and and nobody appeared to be managing the place. We had a drink at the bar whilst we waited for check in and we were surprised to be charged for the coffees given the inconvenient one hour wait.
Breakfast is in the basement, a dull, uninteresting room compared to the rest of the hotel.
Our room on the fourth floor was quite noisy on Friday and Saturday nights.

I booked a twin room. This hotel in Liaobu has a rather retro exterior, and the interior decor is also quite vintage. What I mainly want to highlight is that the bed and duvet are incredibly comfortable, and the towels are also very soft. The air conditioning works well too. The only minor drawback is that the facilities are a bit old, but then again, it's an older hotel with a stone exterior. It's very close to Sheffield city center, so the location is excellent. If you stay for multiple nights and don't require housekeeping, they even give you a 5-yuan voucher for drinks at the bar.

The location is great and easy to get to. Had to find parking elsewhere. Reception staff checked us in quickly, minimal communication apart from asking if we were students and there for some event. Room was fine. Beds very comfy! Tv didn’t work properly - couldn’t load up guide and half the channels didn’t work. Both plug sockets by the bed didn’t work. I did mention it at the front desk but nothing was done about it. Toilet flush didn’t work properly. Would stay for the comfy bed again but they can be found elsewhere.
