InterContinental Shanghai Harbour City

Dishui Lake is truly a wonderful place, so I planned a mini-vacation for my family and chose the InterContinental Shanghai Dishui Lake Hotel. The hotel's architecture is very unique and it's located right by Dishui Lake. The automatic sliding doors at the entrance give a sense of ceremony, and the lobby is absolutely beautiful. Check-in was also very quick. This time, we stayed in a deluxe balcony lake view twin room, and the scenery was stunning. We could see the beautiful views of Dishui Lake and also the hotel's infinity pool. The balcony was huge, big enough to fit a set of table and chairs. The room also had a small lounge area, and each bed was 1.35 meters wide, perfectly comfortable for two people. The outdoor infinity pool at the hotel wasn't very deep, making it great for kids, and it was also perfect for taking photos. The outdoor pool was open until 6 PM, and the indoor one until 10 PM. A quick heads-up: you need to wear a swimming cap for both the indoor and outdoor pools. After swimming, we returned to our room and found a complimentary bowl of tremella soup by the bedside – such a thoughtful little surprise! We were so happy. The breakfast buffet the next day was also very rich, and the environment was excellent. We went early, so it wasn't too crowded and quite peaceful. InterContinental members even received complimentary crab roe soup dumplings, which were absolutely delicious! The kids went to the children's playground. It wasn't large, but it was very clean and not crowded. The activities were more suitable for younger children, but my child still had a great time. The hotel is very photogenic; the lobby is beautiful, the pool is beautiful, and the outdoor rock garden is also great for photos. Our whole family, young and old, had an incredibly fun time.

Our stay at InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was incredibly immersive, with expansive lake views and beautiful gardens that truly set a holiday mood. We originally booked a Deluxe Lake View Balcony King Room but upgraded to a Lake View Balcony Executive Suite, fearing our child wouldn't have enough space. The suite was very spacious and well-designed, offering a high level of comfort. The soft furnishings were exquisite, and the bedding was soft. We felt incredibly relaxed just being in the room, and the views were fantastic, making for a truly satisfying stay. We had the hotel's buffet dinner in the evening, and the food was delicious. The variety was extensive, and the taste was consistently good. We were very happy with both breakfast and dinner. Our one-on-one butler, Lily, provided thoughtful and attentive service. She was very responsive and efficient in handling any issues, offering detailed assistance throughout our stay. Her service was both professional and heartwarming. The only regret this time was not being able to see the fireworks due to the typhoon. We'll definitely be back next time. Highly recommended! (๑＞◡＜๑)👍

It boasts an exclusive and advantageous location on the South Island, with a spacious and quiet lakeside environment. The refreshing lake breeze makes for a pleasant stroll while watching the sunset. It's also conveniently located for visiting the Planetarium and other points of interest in Lingang. 🏊♂️ The swimming pools are a major highlight, featuring both an indoor heated pool and an outdoor infinity pool. The indoor pool is constantly heated, so weather is never an issue. The outdoor pool directly overlooks Dishui Lake, creating a fantastic ambiance. The shallow area is great for kids to play in. However, the outdoor pool is subject to weather conditions and closes in the rain, so it's good to check its operating status before you go. 🧸 The ocean-themed kids' club exceeded our expectations. It's well-equipped with separate areas for play, crafts, reading, and pretend play, offering a rich variety of activities. Kids can spend a lot of time here, giving parents a break. 🍞 The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of options, including Chinese and Western cuisine, live cooking stations, pastries, and fruits. Window seats offer views of the garden. On weekend mornings, the restaurant can get quite busy, and you might need to wait for a table during peak hours. 💡 Minor drawbacks to consider: Its location in Lingang means it's a bit far for those driving from the city center. On weekends, the hotel's occupancy is high, so public facilities can get crowded. Some room types aren't particularly new inside. Overall, it's very suitable for family getaways with kids. Families who value a lake view, good swimming facilities, and children's amenities will find it worthwhile. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the service was excellent. A special thanks to Lily; my child's swimsuit was left at the pool, and she was kind enough to find it and mail it back to me. I'm very grateful! It was a great stay, and I'll definitely be back.

The front desk kindly upgraded my room for free, which was a pleasant surprise! It's a shame I had a bit of a cold this time, I really wanted to try the infinity pool! The package price was great, and the complimentary afternoon tea was delicious. Next time, I'll definitely come back on a Saturday for the dinner buffet! o(〃'▽'〃)o

The hotel environment is beautiful, and the lobby's wine cabinet is impressive. The infinity pool is also very photogenic, and all the services are thoughtful and attentive. The travel photography service is also excellent; they basically capture every Instagrammable spot.

The hotel environment is excellent, and the location is superb. The facilities are also top-notch. What truly deserves praise is the outstanding service; they try their best to meet every request. The breakfast is rich and plentiful, and even during peak hours, there's no queue, as the staff is adequately staffed. Someone is always there to clear plates and offer tissues, which is something I rarely see in hotels in China! Thumbs up! 👍 The infinity pool is fantastic, and watching the summer fireworks from the room's terrace at night was also very enjoyable. It would be even better if the bar by the pool offered some snacks and draft beer! ^_^

The scenery is nice, and the room is quite clean and spacious. The breakfast is fantastic, with both Chinese and Western options. The outdoor pool is huge, and my child loved it so much they didn't want to leave. The only downside is that there's only a bed-end bench, no desk for writing or a sofa. Overall, the service was good, and everyone was very enthusiastic.

I was very satisfied with my stay. The beautiful lady manager at the lobby was excellent. I was traveling alone with two children and she provided great assistance throughout. It was a wonderful stay, highly recommended for a family vacation, and the fireworks were also beautiful.
