Hotel Du Lac et Bellevue

We stayed at the hotel for a week commencing Wednesday September 2nd, and had a comfort room at the back of the main hotel building. The first floor room had a good balcony which was shaded after about midday, which was good as that week was very warm, but it was close to the petrol station and garage just behind the hotel, which at times was a little noisy, but not visible. The hotel staff are very polite and helpful. We liked the “same table” at evening dinner arrangement. The standard of food was excellent and presentation was extremely good. In the morning we enjoyed having breakfast on the front terrace overlooking the lake. We hired the hotel bikes one day, which were reasonably priced. The lake front location is just fantastic, and the town is an easy walk away. The hotel may be a little dated but it has a lovely traditional charm which makes it special. We hope to return in the near future.

Hotel was located 10 mins walk fron downtown Bardolino. It was air-conditioned and quiet with a nice terrace. There were plenty of sun chairs to sit in both by the pool and in front of the terrace. My room had a side view of the lake from the balcony, and was very comfortable with a nice bed and pillows. The whole hotel was very clean, and I regarded it as good value.

The location of this hotel is good. However I wish I’d been advised that the room I had booked was off site and not within the hotel. As it was an apartment it was ridiculous being charged for breakfast as we had to walk 8 mins to the hotel. It said access to the pool again it was an 8 minute walk to the hotel and when we got there not one sun bed was available. It basically ruined the holiday. The apartment was spacious but in a residential block. With a tiny balcony that could just fit 2 people in it. All in all very disappointing

Lovely hotel in a good location, right on the lakefront and close enough to the centre of Bardolino. Handy to have a Supermarket opposite. Friendly, helpful staff throughout. All areas were well kept and spotlessly clean. Excellent pools - plus don’t miss the amazing new spa! Some areas were a little dated, but it didn’t affect our stay. Overall an excellent experience!

Lovely hotel well presented looks out over lake Garda. It’s just off a main road which has a great supermarket on but you don’t hear any traffic noise (suppose it depends on where your room is). I asked why our room didn’t have a balcony so check what you have booked. Balconies that face the pool and Lake seem to be the best, apparently ones on the other side can be noisy. We kept our balcony free room but could go to the end of the corridor and there was a balcony there (we think a smokers one). Fabulous pool and facilities all looked new. Food and dinner is good. Some days better than others. We found the staff pleasant and helpful. Do go to the olive oil museum, we enjoyed it.

The hotel is an an enviable position close to the lake and a short walk to the centre. Our room was large with views of the lake but very dated immaculately clean the bed was a super king there are no USB chargers in the room at all there is a kettle which is nice. Our air conditioning did not work on the first night I told reception the next day no change told them again and was told it would take longer to sort. This kept going for 5 days we were only staying a week, the room got down to 22.5!! still warm for us I have to say this was disappointing. The food was very hit and miss one meat option of various beef, veal, duck and pork and one fish swordfish, salmon and others and one vegetarian dish on the Italian night there was no vegetarian option on the menu so we ate out I mentioned this to the waiter the next day and was told I should have asked for the vegetarian menu (I didn’t know one actually existed), after that we did order from it, but not a great selection. Money has been spent on the pools and outside areas which are lovely but I think they would have been better starting with all the rooms first. Shame it could be brilliant it’s just average.

My partner and I arrived home yesterday from our anniversary trip and have already booked to come back in October for her birthday. I tend not to go back to the same place, however, we loved the location, staff, and atmosphere so much we immediately booked a return trip. We booked less than a day after arriving home ☺️ We stayed in a Junior top suite Bellevue on the top floor (piano 3) with a fantastic balcony and lake view. We have actually requested the same room when we return as we loved it so much. Great hotel, fantastic location, wonderful staff, and stunning views. They even brought us fizz on our balcony for our anniversary. Amazing experience and we can't wait to return.

We stayed in May and immediately booked to come back this October. They made my wife's birthday very special and even gave us a room on the same floor (Piano 3) next ro the room we had last time. We never usually go back to the same place let alone the same hotel, however, are already looking to come back again next year. We had a Junior Top View Suite in the Bellevue with a balcony and lake view. It was absolutely amazing and every member of staff was attentive, friendly, and couldn't do enough. Great hotel, amazing staff, brilliant location, and fantastic view - what's not to like. Eh bellissimo!

This is a lovely hotel,with excellent staff .Food here is so very good and it is also exceptionally clean.This was our second stay and I am sure there will be a third visit.
