AC Hotel Cartagena

Excellent location, room was spacious with views of the town and the sea , bathroom had a good walk-in shower . Could do with more hangers and shelves to put clothing , as there is plenty of space . Breakfast excellent quality and plenty of choice , the service was efficient and the staff worked very hard !

We stayed for 4 nights in March 2026 in a superior king terrace, room 505. Loved this hotel, especially the location, the breakfast, the staff (including Angel on the front desk and the lovely breakfast staff), cleanliness, the amenities (like bathrobes), beautiful shower and bathroom fittings, fantastic water pressure. The hotel is modern, well equipped and it has obviously had a beautiful refurbishment relatively recently. Our room had a huge wrap-around terrace with nice views and the terrace was quite a big step up from the room. I would suggest to the hotel that they provide a small "step" (placed inside the room) to allow an easy step-up to the terrace (and a step-down of course), especially useful for older guests with less mobility. Our stay in a Madrid hotel had the same issue but they provided a simple wooden step allowing easy and safe access to the terrace. The only other item which I feel the hotel might attend to is to install 2 more hooks in the bathroom (there is a spare wall), as the bath robes use up the 2 hooks near the shower. Overall a fabulous hotel and would definitely stay again.

well located/ modern stylish rooms/ ideal for walking along the port & in old town: good water pressure/ clean/ nice reception/ could use better choice of foreign tv channels: in english//french/difficult for longer stays for travellers with lots of luggage/ no storage drawers and very limited space to hang clothes/ but all in all very pleasant/

We just stayed at AC Cartagena, and overall we had a really good experience. The location was excellent, close to everything, and perfect for exploring the city on foot. The parking situation was definitely interesting. You have to use a small car elevator to get to the garage, which was super tight, but luckily we had rented a small car so it worked out fine. The hotel itself was very nice. Our room was on the 5th floor with a good layout and a nice balcony, though the view wasn’t anything special. Breakfast was decent—you can order eggs, and they have the standard buffet items to go with it. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. This hotel is super close to the cruise port. Overall, a solid stay in a great location. Recommend it for sure!

A new hotel from the Mariott Group. Nice rooms and bathroom well thought out. Friendly staff and helpful. Food was excellent in restaurant and nice cocktails too. Tried a new one, New York Sour, which the Columbian bartender introduced me to. We stayed for 6 nights and were very happy. The hotel is perfectly situated for everything.
