ReLabo -Medical Spa & Stay

Opened in 2024, Relabo is a highly recommended place to stay if you're visiting Aomori. Beyond its prime location, the entire hotel is designed around the concept of slow living. From the room fragrance, hot spring, and spa treatments to the lounge, everything is thoroughly delightful. The breakfast is also exquisitely curated—not a massive selection, but exceptional in quality, served in a very comfortable environment. It’s one of the most unique hotels I’ve stayed at in Japan in recent years. If you have time, you can also join the complimentary yoga classes, which certainly don't feel like an afterthought.

This is my second stay here. The room faces the street, offering a view of the bus stop leading to the attractions, which makes getting around quite convenient. The JR station is right downstairs, along with shopping malls and restaurants, and it's close to the tourist spots. The bathroom features a bathtub and shower in a modular unit setup.

The hotel is in an excellent location—all the main attractions are within walking distance. The JR Bus stop is right downstairs and very easy to reach on foot. The breakfast offers a good selection and is well-managed, living up to star-rated hotel standards. The room size is decent and matches the photos and descriptions online.

A hidden gem in Aomori, this hotel is right above JR Station but surprisingly quiet. The room offers a view of Aomori Bridge. The breakfast is fantastic, a great mix of Japanese and Western options. The apple pie and curry rice are good, and I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. You can even fresh-squeeze your own orange juice! The buses to the airport and Oirase Stream are conveniently located downstairs. It's clean and hygienic too!

This hotel is right above Aomori Station! The front desk is on the 4th floor, and guest rooms are from the 6th floor up. Some rooms even have a sea view! Downstairs, there's a supermarket, Matsumoto Kiyoshi drugstore, Starbucks, Daiso (the 100-yen store), and a bakery (I recommend the apple pie from VIE DE FRANCE)! And of course, there are plenty of souvenir shops too! Outside the station, you'll find even more restaurant choices! Aomori Station is also a bus hub, and the bus for hiking in Oirase Keiryu Gorge departs from here! The hotel even has an onsen (hot spring) on the 6th floor; the pool isn't huge, but it has a unique apple theme (with apples floating in the water)!

The hotel is brand new with excellent facilities. We were upgraded to a sea-view suite, which was absolutely amazing! It's within walking distance to the beach with fantastic views. If you're in Aomori, you absolutely *must* stay here, no other place compares!

Hotel Relabo boasts an excellent location right next to the JR station. You can take an elevator directly from the station's third floor, via a connecting passage, to the hotel's reception on the fourth floor – super convenient! A highlight of the hotel is its hot springs, and they also offer yoga activities, though we didn't participate since we don't speak Japanese. Guests staying at the hotel can enjoy the hot springs for free. Female guests are escorted into the bathhouse by staff, which feels very safe. After a relaxing soak, you can grab an ice pop or head to the observation deck to enjoy some biscuits and apple juice while taking in the views – truly the essence of a laid-back vacation. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly during breakfast, which was Western-style and absolutely delicious.
