Standing by the bed in the room, gazing down at the lively street below, you become a tranquil observer amidst the vibrant scene. It's a hotel worth revisiting repeatedly to truly savor its charm.

Checked into the Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai. For standard rooms, you check in on the first floor, but if you book a Fairmont Gold room, you can go straight to the 9th-floor executive lounge to check in, which is nice as you don't have to wait in line. The Gold Lounge afternoon tea was just so-so, and dinner was average; don't expect too much. The pool and gym are free for guests and were practically empty, which made for a really enjoyable experience. Breakfast was decent and satisfying. The minibar in the room charges 55 yuan for a can of Coke or a bottle of water... honestly, a can of Coke from the shop downstairs is only 3 yuan, isn't that a much better deal? The hotel's own historical museum was a pleasant surprise and worth a visit. Overall, it's an old-school hotel that really shines with its location and ambiance.

Dining in the executive lounge is less crowded, quiet, and comfortable, enhancing the overall experience. The legendary Fairmont Peace Hotel on the Bund lives up to its reputation! The location is unbeatable, right on Nanjing Road and the Bund. Our river view room had an incredible view of the Lujiazui skyline at night. The Art Deco lobby with its stunning glass dome creates an amazing atmosphere, so vintage and refined – perfect for snapping some retro-style photos. The service is what you'd expect from a classic luxury hotel; the concierge was attentive and responsive, making our stay a 10/10 experience. You absolutely have to catch the Old Jazz Band; their music transports you back to old Shanghai. Definitely worth the trip, highly recommended!

We arrived a little after 2 PM, and there was no queue in the lobby, so we checked in right away. They offered us a lot of suggestions, and we ended up upgrading to a suite for an extra charge. The 722 Imperial Suite offers a slight river view, which was nice. I had some concerns after seeing a few negative reviews online, but after actually staying here, I realized my worries were completely unnecessary. Everything here, from the facilities and service to the food quality and even the staff's appearance, is top-notch. The view from the terrace at 9:15 is superb, and while the dinner at the Imperial Lounge has fewer options, everything is delicious. The wonton noodles were perfectly to my taste. Breakfast also had a great variety, lots of fruits, four kinds of freshly squeezed juices, fried noodles, xiaolongbao, and four steamed dim sum items in a small steamer, all of which were tasty. The communication and coordination between different hotel departments were incredibly smooth. We left a pair of sunglasses in our room, and when we went back to get them, the parking staff recognized our license plate and offered to retrieve them for us, telling us to just park and wait. Excellent service!

The hotel facilities are well-maintained, and the rooms are clean. The elevator has a charming vintage feel. All the staff members are very friendly and helpful, especially Benny, the Guest Experience Manager. I accidentally left my iPad in the room, and since I was traveling abroad for a few days, I didn't answer my phone and wasn't even aware it was missing. Benny persistently tried to reach me, and once he got through, he quickly arranged for my iPad to be shipped back to me. Thank you so much!

Premium, this century-old hotel is simply excellent. The service and accommodation environment, along with the fantastic little bistro, make the overall package well worth the room rate. Breakfast is also very good; although it's a buffet, it's delicious and exquisite.

It's all about the experience and the location is absolutely unbeatable! Right outside, you've got The Bund and the pedestrian street. It's a great hotel for tourists to check out. The only thing is, the breakfast is just way too ordinary.
