Hotel Tirreno

Stayed 3 nights at Hotel Tirreno during our Rome trip. The room is quite basic and not particularly spacious, but it was clean and comfortable enough for resting after a full day of sightseeing. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. Many attractions such as the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, and Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore can be reached on foot. Termini Station is also within walking distance. If you're looking for a practical place to sleep and spend most of your time exploring Rome, this hotel offers good value for its location.

The location is unbeatable, walking distance to Termini train station , and to all iconic places in Rome . A lot of local food choices around . The area is pretty safe and convenient for tourists . The hotel is quiet old , so all the interiors match it’s old age . No modern furnitures or appliances. There is an elevator and a mini garden . The AC works in the room . We chose this hotel due to last min booking availability and its affordability. The hotel has complimentary breakfast running from 7-9:30 , even though same food every morning ,we indeed have enjoyed boiled eggs , yogurt , coffee and pastries. The staff are attentive and very responsible .

The hotel is quite average in terms of facilities and service. Our room was quite small, so wouldn’t stay longer than a couple nights. The breakfast was also average but was worth the price. The hotel however was in a fantastic location close to all the main attractions which is a huge bonus.

The Location is perfect, you are close to the trainstation, metro and bus station and the colosseum. The rooms are okay, a little old, but according to the budget pretty good it’s mainly clean. The shower might be considered too small for some people, but I think manageable. Breakfast was simple, but okay, the pastries were for this budget very nice. It’s a good place for a short weekend trip to Rom, while spending the whole day outside and using the hotel just for sleeping. It’s for it’s location and convenience a budgetfrienldy place. Wouldn’t recommend for a long and relaxing stay though. It’s just right and everything works well.

Gongting Yuye Jiu" (Royal Jade Nectar Wine)—if you get this reference, whatever you do, don't come here. The bathroom reeks, the room is tiny and constantly smells musty, and the bed is right next to the door. The duvet still had hair from the previous guest on it and smelled of body odor; I doubt it had been washed at all. Seriously, stay away.
