The Sullivan House

If you want ocean and harbor views, the Sullivan House is the place on Block for you!. It sits on one of the Island's highest points, but also in the middle of the "neck" which affords spectacular views of the ocean, new harbor and town from the wide 4 sided porch. The inn is set quite far back from Corn Neck Road which makes it convenient (you can walk to the town beach), but also very quiet. The hot breakfasts were delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time!

It had been ten years since we stayed at our BI Fav. Same lovely Sullivan House with new amenities. Bikes, kayaks and a bar til 6pm. We stayed in the main house. Breakfast was fantastic and the views are the best on the island. Hospitality was top notch, same as we remembered. We did kayak the inner pond. It needs a dock for easier access. But we enjoyed it. You are directly across from the town beach. Chairs available by SH. Can’t go wrong staying here.

Aug2026. Mixed review… staff was lovely, breakfast was great, and great location right across from town beach. The house advertises they have bikes & kayaks & SUP boards. The bikes were all inoperable during our stay, 3 of the 4 SUP boards were unusable (apparently broken?). We bailed on kayaking bc another couple told us they tried & it was near impossible in the shallow water, and they had to climb out and pull the kayak a lot. Shower temp was tricky, either icy cold or scalding hot. For $450+ night, we were very disappointed & frustrated, esp in the bikes & SUP situation, bc that was the main reason we chose this house for our stay. The house should remove this as a feature if it cannot fulfill. The owner did say a call was in to repair bikes, but that repair did not happen while we were there….. rec to have more bikes/SUPs on standby so when a few go down, there are still some available for guests.

Our second time on island and stayed at the Sullivan House this past weekend. Everything was fantastic! The views, the hospitality, the breakfast, access to beaches and marina and town - all were excellent! Highly reccomend if you're on island - one of the nicest sunsets from balcony

We loved our long weekend stay. We took our two adult boys with their gf. We enjoyed the quaint accommodations and Linda was so helpful with making sure we had everything we needed. The views from the house were breathtaking and we rented bikes from The Sullivan House which was very convenient. We will be returning next year.

Such a beautiful and breathtaking view of the water from all angles. Breakfast area was very quaint and clean. Noise level was very low and services was awesome I was upgraded to a more accommodating room without being asked. That really was a nice treat. Block Island is one of the most beautiful places i have ever visited. So easy to get around, such great shops and restaurants The view, and the friendliness of the staff No missing amenities Yes I would recommend as it is like staying in a house vs a hotel, with beautiful views No extras top of mind

Beautiful setting!! Love the views!! Breakfasts were delicious. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room and shower were very comfortable. Did not need the a/c.

10/10. Best views on the island. Sunsets are unbeatable. Two minunte walk to beach and 10-15 min walk to town. Breakfast every morning.
