The Alexander

This is our favorite hotel in the world. We spent our anniversary there this year, and it didn't disappoint. The staff was unbelievably kind and generous. The room refresh, since our last visit, was well done. We can't wait to spend another important day with you all!

The rooms and hotel are outdated and didn’t seem clean. It seemed as though it may have been a nice hotel at one point but those days are long gone. The shampoo, body wash, condition were subpar and a little gross. The experience made me wonder how well the room had been cleaned. The desk chair in the room had upholstery peeling off of it, the tv was smaller than a computer monitor and had no smart tv capabilities. I absolutely regret staying there. It is cleaner with more amenities and nicer room quality at a Drury Inn or Aloft, really many other places for a third of the price. The staff was nice but this wasn’t on par for the price either. I would never recommend nor will I ever stay here again.

Staff was amazing! They were doing some upgrades to the restaurant area but had a spot to serve us food and drinks. Service was great in that area. Room was very nice and clean.

Room was very nice. Staff was extremely kind. Did not like that they put a $100 hold on bank card for incidentals and also charge $55 to park in their parking garage overnight. Pay over $200 for a room and still have to pay for parking is not right.

Staff were very friendly but the room was awful for the price. I paid 271 for what I thought was one of the higher rated nicer hotels in Indy for the start of a romantic trip to southern Indiana. When we checked in the furnishings were beat up and extremely worn in, the bathroom vanity mirror was chipped and broken on the corners, paint was peeling on the shower stall, white paint was splattered on fixtures from a hasty and careless rehabilitation job. The front desk staff said we got “upgraded” and frankly the quality of the room was worse than I’ve gotten at budget hotels for 25% of the cost. Add a days parking for 50 bucks and that brings my total to over 300 for a night in a construction zone and run down room. I cannot in good faith recommend this hotel and it’s current high ratings must be from an earlier time in it’s history.

The newly renovated rooms were clean and have a trendy design. The valet was super helpful and prompt even in the snowy cold weather. The greeting at check in and out was upbeat and they went out of their way to explain the processes and expectations. I also appreciated that I was asked by the reception what the hotel could have added to the room to make it a better stay for everyone as they continue to update the rooms. Which for me was extra charging ports on the night stand tables and more direction on guest wifi set up. This hotel is in a fun food area and right next to the Colts Stadium. I didn't get to try the food because I arrived later at night, but the menu selection sounded delicious. Price for the overnight experience was on point.

Hands down the most pleasant check in experience I’ve had in a really long time. The valet staff was quick and friendly and that was both dropping the car off and picking it up. The front desk staff was so pleasant and conversational. They asked when we were leaving and actually advised we leave a day early because of the terrible snow storms coming in. We were able to cancel our last night at no charge and were refunded so we could get home safely. The rooms were remodeled, clean and comfortable. Highly highly recommend!!!

Valet took 15 min to come out but only after him/her saw me unloading my luggage. Room service: Eggs were cold, no salt & pepper or tabasco Toast was cold and dry, no butter or jam/jelly Coffee was cold Asked for extra sugar, received 3, no stir stick or spoon provided Terrible, terrible Room/bed was comfortable Lobby bar very nice
