Hon Tam Resort (formerly MerPerle Hon Tam Resort)

The environment is uniquely beautiful, but the room's cleanliness is definitely subpar. There were quite a few geckos, and they even chirped in the room at night 🤫. I guess it was a very unique experience.

This hotel offers incredible value for money. The rooms are spacious, and the views are absolutely stunning. You can explore the island and enjoy complimentary access to a private beach, kayaks, sand toys, beach towels, yoga, swimming rings, and even an airport shuttle (reservations required). Mud baths don't require a reservation, and pricing can be found in the provided image. The breakfast buffet is delicious and very extensive. For lunch and dinner, only à la carte options are available at the restaurant, which can be a bit pricier, but the food is excellent. The mini-bar in the room has drinks that are half the price of those at the restaurant, and you pay for everything when you check out. If you prefer not to eat on the island, you can take a ferry to the mainland, with departures every hour. Cleanliness: The dry area of the room was very clean. However, the wall tiles near the floor in the bathroom need a good scrub; they're a bit yellow and dirty. The outdoor shower, which has a lovely design, hasn't been well-maintained. There's also an issue with insects; even though the hotel addressed it once, I was still woken up by mosquito bites every day.

The environment is elegant with lush vegetation, and the swimming pool is large and beautiful. I had a very comfortable stay for a few days. The staff were very friendly. When the weather is suitable, you can go canoeing. I ate at the hotel restaurant twice, and the hamburgers, beef noodles, and ice cream were all delicious. I recommend it to anyone looking to relax for a few days.
