We received the warmest of welcomes to this stunning and beautiful family hotel. Without doubt, the most enjoyable Andalusian accommodation we had the privilege of staying at during our 10-day tour. Tucked away minutes from the centre, we were made to feel at home in this old palace with our bed a step away from our most beautiful Jerez terrace. Perfect host's who managed to combine welcoming us into their home and being there for anything if we needed it whilst giving us the feeling that we had the place to ourselves if we didn't. Thank you.

Quirky and quiet Accessing the property was difficult (on a very hot day) and they seemed surprised at our arrival. However, mother and daughter were polite and eventually showed us to our room which was pleasant. We had to remove limescale from the shower head but other than that is was clean and beautifully decorated. We had a wonderful terrace that was several times larger than the room. However, be prepared a tour guide may come through with coach party. The hotel was quirky in all respects which was quite engaging!! The dining room was huge and full of produce but most of it was for sale. Breakfast was included but limited for me as I don't eat pork or cheese. The fruit was quite old. A fresh small omelette was cooked and i had toast. There was no fresh milk. I think fresh coffee and tea would be better than the machine drinks provided. I am glad we stayed at the hotel but it was quiet and dark so I wasnt sorry to leave.

The property entrance is located on a side street with garbage dumpsters near the entrance. Hard to find until you’ve been there at least once. It’s a 15-20min walk to anything worth visiting. The place is cluttered with stuff throughout the entrance with weird things (dresses, costumes, etc) for sale in the dining area. A funky strange place. The cats roaming the hallways are friendly though…..

Tucked away down a side street, within easy walking distance of central Jerez, staying here was like travelling back in time to mid 1800s Spain. The antithesis of a bland, corporate, modern, minimalist hotel: think eccentricity, stuffed bulls' heads, sherry barrels, beams, lots of objects of interest, and a warm family welcome. The family make their own sherry, which tasted delicious, and I think are involved in other tourist-related activities. We were offered a home-cooked paella-centred Spanish feast of many courses, with sherry/wine for €75 per head, which I'm sure would have been an evening to remember. Lovely freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast. We also enjoyed sitting out on the terrace just outside our room.

Volveremos seguro!
