The Hotel Captain Cook

This is the dirtiest and worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The carpet and sofa felt very dirty after a long time. The next day we asked to clean the room, but the waiter evaded and said that their room was not cleaned every day. It was the first time I heard about it, and then two bath towels were sent as room service. My friend's room carpet was full of hair that had not been cleaned at all, but he lied and said it had been cleaned. The shower gel and shampoo were completely empty, and the next day there was no hot water shower. My friend called and his attitude was very perfunctory. It was a terrible experience. I don't know if it was the hotel's problem or if Ctrip lowered its requirements for the partner. Recently, the hotel experience booked from Ctrip has not been very pleasant

Excellent location at the heart of downtown. However it’s a bit dated. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby all within walking distance. Will stay again if visit anchorage again.

Very likely upscale and nice 10+years ago. Many places are in need up an overhaul it upgrade. Especially the guest rooms. The pool area isn’t functional at all for children and that was disappointing. We ate at Fletchers twice and it was great, and the service was even better. The art galleries were amazing! Service was great. Definitively needs some updating though.

The staffs are very helpful with requests from getting us a kettle, deal with late checkouts to filling up our water bottle…

I would totally recommend staying here for a romantic evening. Room was very quiet and comfortable, Dinner at the crows nest was Amazing, followed by a few cocktails at fletchers. We had an excellent breakfast the following morning before checking out. It was a great experience and will definitely go again.

Everything was great except the room heater which we couldn't lower. Had to open window which wasn't easy to open and even harder to close.
