Claddagh Motel & Suites

Clean and comfortable. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Great location with lots to see and do in Rockland, Rockport, and Camden. Several affordable and delicious restaurants nearby. Set back from road, so no traffic noise. Highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised! I’ve travelled quite a bit for business and accustomed to the comfort of chain hotels. When I booked at this place, I was a bit cautious but they exceeded my expectations! The room was very comfortable and extremely clean. Every staff person was super friendly. And it’s the lowest price in the area. I highly recommend for a great value!

We took an overnight trip on our weekend from about an hour or two north… booked this property on a whim after seeing pix online and reading solid reviews. We like older school lodging and locations as opposed to the overpriced generic chains. The office is in the main building, just off US1. You can’t miss it with Irish flag, and the colors. Breakfast was available in this location as well. The couple working were welcoming and genuinely excited we were there. Filled us in on the area more than we already knew, which got us off on the right foot! The rooms are truly old school in two separate buildings below and behind the main. They have been updated and though small were immaculate and well appointed. Nothing was lacking during our stay! Thanks!

Room was clean but small. Air freshener must have been used just before we checked in. Not good. Bed was comfortable. Decent price for the coast.

As always, this hotel is clean and comfortable. The rooms I have had over the years have been quiet as they have been in the building away from the road. The provided breakfast is adequate and can be eaten there or to go. As a woman traveling alone, I feel safe here.

We are being generous with the 'average' as the carpet was filthy. Our feet were black and we had to wear shoes constantly until bed time each night. The room was quite dark but had a good working fridge and microwave. The TV was large and had many channels. The beds were quite firm and the pillows average. Plenty of parking here, the grounds are attractive, and there is an ice machine and soda machine. This motel is budget friendly compared to the hgh dollar accomodations all around but you get what you pay for.

This hotel is an older road style hotel that you see in the movies when you were a child. All the buildings appear to be well maintained with white and red paint work being the theme. The room itself I would say was of a reasonable size with clean wooden walls and laminate floor. The bed itself had a thick memory foam mattress with clean sheets and a thin bed spread. However don’t let that fool you as we were roasting in bed. There is air conditioning which works well but can be noisy. Within the room there is a fridge microwave etc, no glasses just a couple of paper cups. The bathroom area is clean but basic provisions of soap and shampoo however there is plenty of hot water. You get a complimentary continental breakfast in the morning, cereal porridge yoghurt, fresh fruit etc. Omelettes sausage patties etc are all frozen 🥶 and to heat it you ping it in the microwave. There only appears to be coffee on offer no tea , so obviously we went without, The breakfast area can be crowded and a bit of a free for all, and the breakfast I would say is the let down for this hotel.

This hotel is very quaint. It is old but clean and well kept. We went for Lobsterfest, there were not a lot of hotel choices. We booked the suite. There was plenty of room for a large family. We had a small kitchen, two bedrooms, and a large porch overlooking the pool. It reminded me of someplace in Europe very quaint. It was like staying at someone’s house. I would definitely stay here again.

If you are a person of a certain age, close your eyes and imagine the motels you stayed at. That is what this hotel is. Located right on 1. The hotel is a little weary, but like most classics as long as you don't look to close or expect to much you will be fine. The room was clean, the ac worked well. Ironically my only serious gripe is the continental breakfast. It consist of small muffins and tiny coffee cups. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to rest your head this might be fine
