Homewood Suites by Hilton Newark-Wilmington South Area

We usually stay here every year for an event and it’s always a pleasant time. The hotel is worth the cost. It is fairly dated and not everything is throughly cleaned. The important parts such as bed, bathroom, and kitchen area are always tidy but don’t be surprised to find old food in the fridge or crumbs under the couch. The breakfast is good and they offer many options. The staff is friendly and accommodating, check in and out is a very swift process and they’re very easy to contact if additional items are needed. For what it is, I like this hotel. It’s maintained well for being dated.

Although the room was a very nice layout, the bathroom and kitchen are very dated. The hotel needs to spend some time and money updating both the bathroom and the kitchen. The extra linen was old and dirty. There was no coffee available in the morning and the front desk did not tell me there was a pet fee for my emotional support pet, but charged me.

I usually like Homewood Suites hotels but this location, is old outdated, and falling apart, dirty couches in the sitting area of the rooms. My bed had a medal piece sticking out from underneath it. Very unsafe, ripped chairs at the tables in the room. This location needs a serious remodel. Breakfast was terrible no taste at all. Fake eggs tasteless sausage etc. if you like crappy hotels, then I guess this is the place for you. Never will. I stay here again. The staff was great.

The hotel staff was very kind and helpful to us. We had to stay because of an apartment issue that prevented us from going back home, and they were super nice about making sure we were set for our stay even when we were uncertain about how long it would have to be. Thank you!

Hotel was clean employees were friendly. Gym was great. Pool was nice. I have a family if 5 and the room was perfect for us. It was spacious enough we were all comfortable.

The person that checked us in was super sweet and nice. The room felt like it was a motel with a really bad odor smell and also had stains on the couch and on the floor. It look like blood stains by the bathroom floor. The bathroom toilet was in clean. It had brown yellow spots, the shower was also dirty. There was also look like used to be frames. They are missing and the walls were falling off when I spoke to other people at the hotel they described that the same similar issue I was so afraid to even unpack any of our stuff that I kept everything in our luggage and took out as needed.

Outdated room. Showercurtain rod loose so curtain kept sliding open, bugs in room, toilet seat really loose and not cleaned very well. Staff was friendly.
