Château de Maraval

Amazing place, super nice manager I can’t thank Mdm. Nadia, the manager, enough, we were stuck late at night without a place to stay, and Mdm. Nadia went out of her way to accomodate us! Thank you so much❤️ The Château is so charming, comfortable & beautifully decorated, the estate is vast & calm, breakfast is served out on the terrace… can’t beat this place, I so highly recommend it.

This place was absolutely extraordinary! The staff were so lovely and they went above and beyond to ensure we were having the best time. The hotel rooms were incredible and excellent value for money. 10/10 would definitely stay again.

This beautifully restored Chateau is only available for a chosen few. Rooms are stunning. We had the Zen room which was in one of the towers and featured a curved bathroom.Beautifully appointed. Breakfast was either inside or outside. We chose outside.Beautiful park setting. Food was cooked to order! The pool was great. Easy drive to nearby restaurant at night. A big call out to Nadia...we recommend this hotel for those who are looking for something special

Chateau Maraval was perfect for us -- everyone there was lovely -- Nadia, Angelique and Paula and a gentleman whose name I don't know. They were all warm and welcoming. The room is spacious and the breakfasts were generous. The location is near the lovely towns of Domme and easy to access the other towns you'll want to see in the area. One small town we loved, and only visited for dinner, was Daglan. It's worth mentioning because of a really great (and extremely reasonable) restaurant called La Cantine by Fabrice Le Chef, that Nadia recommended to us. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for a second dinner.

A stunning chateau with truly amazing staff. My wife and I had the pleasure of a one week stay at the end of May, the chateau is very clean and is set in lovely grounds , with a lovely pool, which we loved to relax by late afternoon after our daily travels , and an funky outdoor sauna. The breakfast was lovely and the fresh scrambled eggs with cheese , divine. Location wise, it's close to the Dordogne river and the must see castles. There was an issue with the air con upon our arrival ...a day when it was 33c but the hotel manager had a engineer in straight away and made sure we had a room with Aircon working before bedtime. A amazing place made perfect by the staff.

Wow just wow , I ve been fortunate enough to stay in some nice hotels around the world , and Chateau de Marvel is up there with the best. The Chateau is stunning , and set in a great position to explore the local tourist attractions and Dordogne. The heated outdoor swimming pool is an added bonus and a lovely place to relax in nature after a day out exploring. But what really makes this Chateau special is the staff , from Eric the gardener, Paula who makes the most amazing scrambled eggs and the rest , nothing is to much trouble, Thank you for a incredible stay

This small boutique hotel is fabulous. Located not far from stunning Dordogne villages and towns, it is set in it's own beautiful gardens with a lovely swimming pool that we spent many hours beside whilst reading our summer books. We had 5 nights and at times had the pool to ourselves. The staff were so helpful (and proud of the hotel!) and recommended places for dinner and lunches etc and will happily book them for you if required. We dined at La Belle Etoile in La Roque Gageac. Incredible especially as the hotel made sure we got a river view table. The local restaurant was also really good with a more rustic offering. Bedroom was stunning with contemporary feel throughout and a wow bathroom with separate shower and bath. Breakfast had everything you needed unless you want a greasy spoon style feast?! We will return in 2027.

The most wonderful stay we had this summer, and frankly in ages. The Chateau is extremely beautiful, the amenities wonderful and the garden amazing, but all that you can find in other spots. What stood out was how WELCOME Laurie and her colleagues made us feel. She had spottet it was my husband's 50th birthday, called us up and asked if we needed a dinner reservation (we did, we're terrible planners!), surprised us with her signature cocktail (amazing! Highly recommend!) and in general just made us feel so happy and at ease. And not in a weirdo White Lotus kiss-your-butt way! It was genuine kindness, her delight and pride in her hotel is contagious. It's a pleasure to be with someone so in her element. I want to recommend this to everyone, I will come back with my parents, but I also kind of want to keep this secret a little longer, so I can get a room in the future.

Nothing too much trouble, Lorrie was wonderfully welcoming and professional and our short stay was perfect. All other staff members lovely too, Wesam a real asset. Peaceful and pretty location (beautiful birdsong!) great breakfast, lovely room, wonderfully comfortable. Thank you!
