Art Hotel Aomori

The hotel was undergoing exterior renovation, and I was given a sea-view room. The scenery was quite nice, but the room had a strong musty smell. It seemed like the windows were moldy.

✅ Highly recommend ART Hotel Aomori! The Nebuta lanterns in the lobby create an amazing atmosphere, and the free apple juice is delicious. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of local Aomori specialties. It's also within walking distance to the city center. Definitely a great choice for a trip to Aomori.

The hotel is quite large with many rooms. The lobby decor and the breakfast buffet, featuring local Aomori specialties, are highly recommended. The only downside is that for a hotel with so many rooms, there are too few self-service washing machines. In summer, many people need to do laundry, leading to long queues and it's not always guaranteed you'll get a turn.

The hotel is right by the sea and quite close to the JR station, within walking distance of both the JR station and Nebuta House. It's also very convenient for getting to Hirosaki. The room was a bit small, and there was a price hike during cherry blossom season, but that's understandable since rooms are hard to come by then. It's really affordable during the off-season.
