Mandarin Oriental, Singapore

Great location, right near the Merlion and just a 10-minute walk away. The room size is just right with nice decor. There are plenty of options for breakfast, and the staff are polite and welcoming.

First time staying at Hotel Indigo. The lobby and elevator design are beautiful. The front desk service was excellent, and they gave us a complimentary upgrade to a balcony room. To request an extra bed, you need to speak with housekeeping. It's a shame there wasn't a souvenir. The breakfast was good, and all the pastries were delicious.

Everything about the hotel was great, but the haze was just too severe, which is such a pity. Otherwise, the view overlooking Marina Bay would have been absolutely stunning, and the night view must be gorgeous too.

We checked in around 9 PM and found the bedsheets very dirty with unknown brown stains, which hadn't been noticed even during turndown service. It's possible the sheets weren't changed at all. The bathroom amenities were ridiculous—two bottles of conditioner, one shampoo, and zero shower gel, which I only discovered while taking a shower. This completely ruined my stay. When I went down to report it to the front desk, I only got a casual "sorry," and they just changed the sheets and provided the missing shower gel. For such a basic mistake and appalling hygiene standards, there was no sincere apology or compensation whatsoever.

We stayed at three different hotels during our trip to Singapore this time, and Mandarin Oriental offered the best overall experience and was the most comfortable stay. Following its renovation, both the public areas and guest rooms feel very fresh. The overall design is modern yet retains the signature gentle and refined touch characteristic of Mandarin Oriental. As we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, the hotel thoughtfully upgraded us to a Marina Bay view room. We particularly loved the night view from the room; watching the lights of Marina Bay in the evening was truly relaxing. The room details were also a big plus. Amenities like Diptyque toiletries, TWG tea bags, and the turndown service providing sleep balm and a lens cleaning cloth—while not overly extravagant—were thoughtful touches that showed genuine care. The breakfast offered a wide variety, leaning mostly towards Western and Southeast Asian flavors with relatively fewer Chinese options, but the croissants, laksa, and fishball noodles were all delicious. Of course, there are some downsides. The entry-level rooms are only 33 square meters, so the space isn't very spacious, and the twin beds in particular are only about 80 cm wide, which can feel a bit cramped for sleeping. Additionally, for the sea-view room we booked for my parents, a large portion of the actual view outside the window consisted of a construction site, so personally, I don't think it's worth paying extra for this room category. Overall, what I love about Mandarin Oriental isn't that it blindly pursues luxury, but rather that from the environment and ambiance to the service details, it makes you feel thoroughly comfortable. Despite a few minor regrets regarding the room type, it was still our favorite hotel from this Singapore trip, and we would definitely consider staying here again next time.

I've stayed in both the basic rooms and the ocean view rooms. Due to personal reasons, my travel plans had to change. Although Trip.com wasn't able to help me negotiate a change, I contacted Mandarin Oriental, Singapore directly via email and successfully modified my check-in dates. Their service is top-notch, absolutely no complaints! The hotel is flawless, just book it without hesitation. Sharing a couple of photos taken during the F1 period.

The front desk staff, especially the lady, was super super nice. We arrived in the morning, and since our room was ready, they allowed us to check in early. The room was very clean, and the pillows and comforters were very comfortable. The breakfast offered a great variety of choices and tasted delicious. The location is excellent; most major attractions are within a 10-minute walk. Right next to the hotel is a shopping mall with plenty of dining options. Overall, it was a fantastic stay!

After the renovation, the environment is much more elegant and pleasant. It's clean and fresh. If it's not too busy, they'll even upgrade your room type. You can see the Marina Bay Sands building right from the entrance, so the view is pretty good. Nice!

We booked two rooms, one for us and one for our family. Our room was excellent, and the turndown service was great; new slippers were placed by the bed every night. However, my family's room was not good. There was no turndown service (the dirty slippers were taken during daily cleaning, and no new ones were provided, which led to my family wearing the remaining pair of slippers for three days. My family members are elderly and don't speak English, so they didn't tell us until check-out). That room didn't even have a tissue box. The most outrageous thing was that on the first morning of their stay, at 8 AM, a staff member started banging on the door, wanting to enter and clean. When they didn't get a response, they just opened the door and walked in. We didn't experience anything like that in our room. I strongly suspect there were two different cleaning teams. Also, for breakfast on the second day, we ordered three coffees. After they were served, we took photos and went to get other food. When we came back, there were only two coffees left on the table. Luckily, we had just taken photos, otherwise, it would have been hard to explain. I don't think hotel staff should act this way. Even if there was a mistake in serving, shouldn't they wait until the guests return to the table to explain and then take it away face-to-face? This is truly unbelievable.
