I stayed at Sooknirund Hotel and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. From the moment you enter, the garden smells like jasmine, which immediately sets a calm, welcoming tone. The staff were incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful. They offered great restaurant recommendations and helped with everything we asked for, including pointing us to a nearby laundromat. Little things like that made the stay feel easy and thoughtful. The rooms were very clean, well maintained, and the AC worked perfectly, which matters a lot in Thailand. Breakfast and coffee were both very good. They also provide free bicycles for guests, which made getting around fun and convenient. The location is ideal and right in the center of Chiang Rai, with nothing more than about 15 minutes away. The entire property is beautiful and photogenic without trying too hard to be an Instagram hotel. It feels tasteful, relaxed, and authentic. There is also a Starbucks connected to the hotel if that is your thing, though there are plenty of great local coffee spots nearby as well. I would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chiang Rai.

A very romantic hotel. The room was beautifully decorated. Our room, however, had a view of a wall. The toilet wasn't great; it had a semi-transparent glass door, which made for a bit of a lack of privacy. There's a Starbucks in the building. The breakfast items were fresh and delicious. Upon check-out, we received two miniature honey bottles shaped like champagne as a gift. A 7-Eleven is just across the street, and the bus station isn't far from the hotel. On Saturdays, there's a night market nearby, and you can also find good Indian and Italian restaurants close by.

Nice hotel. A little too rustic and cosy for a business trip but I believe there are not too many formal biz hotels here. Location is perfect as it’s right in the town centre.
