Lady Luck was on my side when I managed to snag a room at One City One Room, specifically the Seagull on the Bund, one of the most prestigious, and known to old Shanghainese as the Seagull Hotel. I brought my family to check it out. **Transportation:** Not super convenient, taking a taxi is best. The surrounding area is full of famous Shanghai tourist attractions. **Room View:** Lujiazui to the left, the Bund to the right, and the Waibaidu Bridge directly below – absolutely stunning. The view is definitely the biggest selling point of the Seagull on the Bund. **Room Amenities:** This was my first time encountering a capsule coffee machine with oat milk – they truly understand Shanghai! Such thoughtful details, very touching. They also provided high-quality fruits, including imported cherries and dragon fruit. Plus, there was so much wine, drinks, chocolates, and pastries that we couldn't even finish them all. The hardware facilities were all top-notch, and the wireless charger was very convenient. **Breakfast:** The breakfast spread was truly a feast for the eyes, instantly making me understand the phrase "beauty that whets the appetite." It perfectly showcased Shanghai's exquisite refinement. **Service:** I can't help but mention again how beautiful the young lady who served us was. Every staff member was incredibly well-trained, truly impeccable. Overall, although the hotel is expensive, the attention to detail is superb. If you have the budget, it's definitely worth experiencing.

This is my first review on Trip.com, and I'm dedicating it to the Seagull on the Bund. I simply have to give a shout-out to Priscilla from the Guest Relations team for her incredibly thoughtful service. Her proactive communication and the delightful check-in surprise made my stay at the Seagull on the Bund even more perfect. I'm truly grateful to her and the other hotel staff. The hotel's location is unbeatable, and the views are easily among the top 3 for luxury hotels in Shanghai. If your budget allows, I highly recommend booking a suite for a more spacious and enhanced experience. The complimentary mini-bar and three pieces of laundry service were also incredibly practical. Overall, a fantastic experience.

The circular concierge desk, like a stage center, already had two staff members waiting – yes, check-in here is done while seated. There’s no impersonal counter barrier, just a relaxing sense of being truly welcomed. 💁‍♀️ Butler Service: Yuki’s 'Above and Beyond' Philosophy The day before check-in, Butler Yuki (I must emphasize: both beautiful and incredibly professional!) meticulously inquired about my preferences via WeChat. Upon arrival, she personally escorted me to my room, explaining everything from smart room controls to the minibar. She responded promptly to all my WeChat requests and even thoughtfully reminded me about the laundry service deadline – this feeling of being 'remembered' is the true soft power of a luxury hotel. 🛏️ Guest Room: The Bund View from Bed – No Exaggeration The most astonishing surprise in the room was the direct view of the Lujiazui skyline from the bed. The Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai Tower shimmered under the night sky, and cruise ships on the Huangpu River cut through the neon reflections – this window alone was worth half the room rate. The turndown service was a continuous delight: a warmly handwritten welcome card, exquisite pastries under a glass dome adding a touch of ceremony, and even a custom-engraved luggage tag and art guide – this 'gift just for you' truly brought warmth to the member experience. The welcome amenities included fresh fruit and red wine, demonstrating attention to detail. 🍳 Breakfast: 'Slow' Food Moments at Harmonia Restaurant Breakfast was served at Harmonia, with a menu blending classic Shanghainese dishes and Western delicacies. The black truffle lobster omelet was fragrant, and the steak with roasted tomatoes was perfectly cooked – my only minor regret was the slightly slow pace of service, but gazing at the Bund in the morning light, who would truly mind? 🏋️ Fitness Center: LifeFitness and Thoughtful Details The gym is equipped with a full set of LifeFitness equipment. The treadmills not only had a pre-loaded hotel welcome interface but also thoughtfully provided bottled water. Sweating it out in the morning light or evening glow, with the Bund breathing outside the window, is a unique aesthetic of exercise only found at the Regent Shanghai Pudong. 🎨 Spatial Aesthetics: Every Corner is Curated From the emerald green marble inlay in the elevator lobby to the corridor adorned with brass and dark wood accents, and the geometric light and shadow curtain at the entrance – the hotel itself is a contemporary art museum. Even the room key card uses a wooden chip design, with a warm touch reminiscent of old Shanghai's scholarly charm. ✨ Summary The Regent Shanghai Pudong redefines luxury with its 'anticipatory service': the butler's pre-arrival greeting, the personalized gifts during turndown, that bottle of water on the treadmill… these 'non-essential' thoughtful touches precisely form the 'essential' unforgettable experience. If the Bund is Shanghai's façade, then the Regent Shanghai Pudong is its soul – outward brilliance of the river view, inward warmth of human touch. Our butler, Yuki, was incredibly enthusiastic and provided excellent service! Thumbs up! My stay at Regent Shanghai on The Bund was truly wonderful. The location is superb, right on the North Bund, with floor-to-ceiling windows in the room offering stunning views of the Huangpu River, especially beautiful at night. The hotel is a renovated old building, and the decor has a lovely Old Shanghai feel – not overly showy, but with a comfortable, quality ambiance. The bed was very comfortable, and amenities like toiletries and the hairdryer were all top-notch. The service was also very efficient; check-in was quick, and all the staff were gentle and polite. Breakfast quality was great – not a massive, overwhelming buffet, but refined and delicious dishes. In your free time, you can relax by the pool, which also offers fantastic views. Overall, my stay was very pleasant. If you're looking for a river view in Shanghai, Regent Shanghai on The Bund is highly recommended.

This is by far the most satisfying hotel I've stayed at recently. The scenery is beautiful, and the environment is exceptionally clean and tidy. The mattress has just the right amount of firmness. Kelsey provided excellent service; she was very attentive and thoughtful! It's one of the few hotels I actually look forward to staying at again.

Who would have thought that staying at a hotel for 9,600 a night, I'd find safety shorts left by the previous guest? The duty manager at Regent Shanghai on The Bund apologized, took them away, and then denied it ever happened. It's ridiculous! They even claimed it wasn't the hotel's fault...

Overall, my stay exceeded expectations. The room was meticulously cleaned and filled with a luxurious fragrance. The layout was well-designed, spacious, and offered excellent natural light. Opening the curtains revealed a direct view of Shanghai's Huangpu River, with the iconic Bund trio just across. It was truly delightful. The mattress was just the right firmness, ensuring a great night's sleep. All bathroom amenities were well-stocked. Special mention goes to our butler, Kelsey, for her warm and polite service. In fact, every single staff member at the hotel was incredibly friendly. The buffet offered high-quality dishes with good taste and exquisite presentation. The only minor downside was the limited protein options among the Chinese dishes. Getting around the area was also very convenient. I felt both safe and comfortable during my stay and highly recommend it.
