The balcony is best for photos during the blue hour at dusk. 🛁 Full Room Experience Review • The bathtub was even bigger than I expected, and it came with a bath bomb. Soaking in the tub while watching the cruise ships pass by at night cured all my fatigue. • Complimentary fruit was replenished daily, and the mini-bar had so many drinks and snacks I couldn't finish them all (soda water, juice, local beer, capsule coffee – you name it!). • The room facilities were very modern. The curtains were fully automatic, power outlets had Type-C ports, and the smart toilet was incredibly convenient. • Free laundry and ironing service was a thoughtful touch, really convenient for business trips or extended stays. 🍳 Hidden Breakfast Tips 2. The semi-buffet style is perfect for someone like me who has 'eyes bigger than their stomach': ✅ Must-order: Eggs Benedict, the sauce was perfectly balanced. ✅ Highly recommend the pickled beetroot salmon from the cold cuts section – refreshing and appetizing. ✅ Parma ham with melon is a classic pairing, and the cheese selection had six or seven options. ✅ The Chinese noodle soup from the à la carte menu was also delicious and worth trying. 💎 Service Details Worth Praising Kelsey, our butler, provided incredibly attentive service, making us feel right at home! She proactively contacted us before check-in, meticulously explained every window's view features, and the custom-made luggage tags we received upon departure were of excellent quality. The gym and pool were quiet with few people. Although not large, they had all the necessary equipment and were very clean. 📸 Recommended Photography Times • Daytime: 9-11 AM, soft light, great for portraits with the river view. • Dusk: Half an hour before and after sunset, the Bund's buildings have a golden outline. • Nighttime: After 7 PM, all the lights are on, and the most stunning Bund appears. 📍 Check-in Tips: • For a view room, definitely choose a high floor (10th floor or above recommended). • If it's a birthday or anniversary, you can mention it in advance for a potential surprise setup. • Right outside the hotel is the North Bund Riverside Promenade, which is much less crowded than the main Bund. Thanks to Trip.com for the opportunity to experience the top-tier Regent Shanghai on the Bund! The check-in experience was fantastic, super comfortable with perfect Bund views. To the left is Lujiazui, and to the right are the historic 'Bund Buildings'. The night view is absolutely unbeatable. The green color scheme in the room felt very refreshing, and the amenities were also very pleasant. Royee, our butler, contacted us in advance and was incredibly thoughtful, asking if it was an anniversary or a special occasion. From the moment we walked in, they remembered our names, and staff would greet us when we passed through the lobby. The service was truly impeccable. In the evening, they asked for our preferred breakfast time in advance to reserve a table. The balcony directly faces Lujiazui, offering an unparalleled view. The French crepes and Lobster Eggs Benedict were perfectly prepared, and the fruit quality of the raspberry and blueberry tarts was excellent. I often feel that some luxury hotels can be all show and no substance, but the Regent Shanghai on the Bund truly made me feel like every penny was well spent. It genuinely delivers on all aspects of a high-end hotel experience and makes you want to stay again! By the way, this year's Pegasus room key card is so beautiful, I asked for one as a souvenir~

For me, the most important thing when traveling is choosing a good hotel. Whether it's enjoying the view from a large balcony window or staying in a hotel that's already part of the scenery, freeing me from a packed daily schedule. The Seagull on the Bund is exactly that kind of hotel – it perfectly captures the vacation vibe. It boasts an excellent viewing location, reminding me of the InterContinental Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong where I stayed 10 years ago, both offering breathtaking night views of the harbor. Although the Seagull on the Bund isn't a very tall building, it's on the first row along the river, providing unobstructed views and a closer feel to the Pudong skyline opposite. A big thank you to Priscilla who contacted me in advance to understand my needs. The Bund view room she arranged offered an absolutely stunning vista, allowing me to see both the 'three-piece suit' (Shanghai World Financial Center, Jin Mao Tower, and Oriental Pearl TV Tower) and the historic international architecture. Watching the lights come on along both banks at 6 PM from the room was incredibly romantic. I'll definitely come back again if I have the chance.

The location is unbeatable, with a fantastic ambiance right next to the Waibaidu Bridge. The night view is even more stunning. The room size isn't huge but it's cleverly designed, well-equipped with everything you need, and the amenities are quite refined. Breakfast was exquisite, and the staff provided consistently thoughtful, professional, and enthusiastic service throughout our stay.

The service was incredibly attentive, and the hygiene was impeccable. The room was cozy and comfortable, which I really appreciated. All the facilities were excellent, and the mini-bar had a great selection. My experience at the Seagull Regent truly exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was also quite diverse and delicious. This will definitely be my first choice when I come to Shanghai again. Thumbs up! 👍🏻

As someone who's never had much luck with raffles, I actually snagged a free night at the Hyatt Regency Shanghai Wujiaochang through Ctrip's Black Diamond 'One City, One Room' perk this time! I was a bit worried about being treated differently, but at check-in, I met Chief Concierge Marco. He chatted with me in Shanghainese, which was so friendly and put all my concerns at ease. The day before check-in, concierge Kelsey called to confirm my needs and added me on WeChat. She mentioned that if she wasn't on duty when I arrived, her colleague Royee would take care of me. Before bed, I saw Kelsey again. She specially came to my room to give me an exclusive luggage tag. She's a beautiful and very approachable young lady. The breakfast was exquisite, and compared to other hotels, the semi-buffet style felt much more hygienic. My elderly companion and I both loved the relaxed atmosphere. Carrie in the restaurant was incredibly attentive; despite wearing a light uniform, she even helped us take several beautiful photos outside, which I really appreciated. Actually, I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Shanghai Wujiaochang in April 2025. Back then, there was no concierge adding me on WeChat, and the service was just okay, nothing memorable. If I hadn't gotten this perk, I probably wouldn't have considered staying again. My relatives are coming back to China for Chinese New Year, and I was planning to book the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund for Christmas. But now I've changed my mind – we absolutely have to bring them to the Hyatt Regency Shanghai Wujiaochang again for Chinese New Year! I also hope the hotel continues to improve!
