Regent Shanghai on The Bund

My stay at the Shanghai Seagull on the Bund was excellent overall. A special shoutout to our room attendant, Priscilla, who provided attentive and thoughtful service throughout our stay, responding quickly to all our needs – it made for a fantastic experience. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive and well-equipped, though the gym was a bit on the small side. Additionally, there's room for improvement in the bakery staff's operational knowledge and service details.

Facilities: Brand new. Hygiene: Excellent condition, no issues whatsoever. Environment: The room's interior boasts stunning green marble patterns that are incredibly pleasing to the eye. The view from the scenic room was indeed impressive. The lobby design is also beautiful, with attention to detail in every corner. Service: From helping with luggage upon arrival to every detail once in the room, every staff member made us feel comfortable. Daily 3-piece laundry or ironing and drying service: The clothes were washed very clean and returned neatly, which is a fantastic complimentary service for travelers. Finally, I'll work hard to earn more so I can come back and stay again~

Regent Shanghai on the Bund is an oasis of calm in a bustling area, boasting an unbeatable location with stunning views of the Waibaidu Bridge, the 'egg beater' building (Oriental Pearl TV Tower), and the Oriental Pearl Tower itself. The entire hotel's decor is elegant and sophisticated. The service is truly impeccable; whatever you need, they'll provide. Our butler, Ray, was incredibly responsive and thoughtful. Every staff member we encountered had an excellent attitude – truly impressive! The welcome amenities and mini-bar were very generous, and the breakfast presentation was exquisite with delicious food. Honestly, aside from the small room size and high price, this hotel has no flaws!

Satisfied: The views are fantastic, with a panoramic view of the Lujiazui night lights. You can even catch the sunrise in the morning. The overall service attitude is also quite good. Dissatisfied: The room is indeed very small. The hard furnishings show obvious damage, such as clear repair marks on the door frame and faded wallpaper behind the headboard. It hasn't even been open for very long, has it? The soundproofing is terrible; you can hear conversations in the hallway crystal clear, just like in a budget hotel. I wonder if the Dyson hairdryer provided in the room has been swapped out? Even after checking for blockages, the airflow was significantly weaker compared to my own old model.

Since my last stay here, the Seagull on the Bund has become my top choice whenever I visit Shanghai. As someone traveling with a child, I'm consistently impressed with both the views and the service. The hygiene standards are also excellent – it's the perfect place for even the pickiest guests. A big thank you to Yuki for accommodating all my requests during my stay; my child also really adored 'Sister Yuki.' We look forward to seeing you again next time!

I chose to stay at the Seagull on the Bund Hotel Shanghai this time, and the experience was absolutely perfect. The hotel's location is superb. I stayed in a Bund view king room this time, and I could clearly see the historical Bund buildings, the Bund cityscape, and the 'Lujiazui Three-piece Suit' (referring to the three iconic skyscrapers) up close. The view is truly outstanding! Although the room is small, it's fully equipped. The welcome fruit and minibar were also well-stocked. The soundproofing was just a tiny bit lacking. The hotel staff's service was consistently excellent; from before check-in to check-out, our butler Yuki provided fantastic service 👍. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time and highly recommend it to everyone!

I noted it was my birthday, and they helped decorate the room and even sent a cake! The location is great, very close to the Waibaidu Bridge. Yuki at the front desk was very attentive and provided excellent service. I'll definitely book this hotel again next time I'm in town.

The Peninsula Shanghai truly sets the bar for Bund ambiance, radiating romance with its unparalleled river views ✨ Nestled by the historic Waibaidu Bridge, it boasts a prime location at the confluence of the Huangpu River and Suzhou Creek. The CCD design seamlessly blends with old Shanghai's vintage charm; every corner, from the grand spiral staircase in the lobby to the antique piano, offers a perfect photo opportunity. I booked a river view room with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing me to admire the Lujiazui skyline right from my bed. The marble bathtub, strategically facing the river, is an absolute highlight! Imagine soaking in the tub as the sunset paints the river in the evening, or enjoying the Bund's light show at night, all without the crowds – pure, unadulterated night views. The attention to detail in service is truly impressive: complimentary red wine, a generous welcome fruit platter, and a fully complimentary first-round mini-bar with 5100 mineral water and imported drinks and snacks. Turndown service even includes chocolates, and the butler response time is incredibly fast. Breakfast is a semi-buffet à la carte affair. The lobster omelet, black truffle crepes, and Regent waffles are absolute must-tries. Enjoying breakfast by the window with the river view is a truly therapeutic experience. The only minor drawback is that the standard room size is a bit small, making it slightly cramped when laying out luggage. For more space, I'd recommend upgrading directly to a suite. For honeymoons or anniversaries, the atmosphere here is simply divine.

I travel for business year-round, but what I encountered at this hotel was truly disappointing. First, I requested a latex pillow from housekeeping, only to be told they were out. I don't know if they simply ran out or if they don't stock them at all, but having stayed in countless hotels of all sizes, it's incomprehensible that a basic latex pillow wouldn't be available. Second, as shown in the picture, the towel was torn to this extent and yet it was still being reused, which is also beyond my comprehension. The location and service were acceptable, but my overall stay was, to put it mildly, very mediocre. It's especially unacceptable that they couldn't even guarantee basic hygiene standards like towel quality.
