Great for one night if you have any early flight. Transfer to airport is every hour, they are very strict with how you leave the room.

I was checked into a room where the toilet was leaking. Maintenance came to fix it, but the floor was covered in water. I asked for it to be cleaned, and they did a shoddy job. When I finally went to use the toilet, the tank wasn't working, and then everything started leaking onto the floor again. On one side of the hotel, there's a railway with noisy trains, and on the other side, there's the airport with planes flying overhead. The room itself is nice, but there are no teaspoons and no bar soap.

It's more than adequate as a transit hotel - spacious grounds with eclectic gardens and a swimming pool, a nice restaurant and friendly staff. We stayed here both on arrival and departure from Sumatra. On our first stay, we had very noisy guests in the next room, kept us up the whole night despite multiple complaints and visits from the security. On our second stay, the hotel rememebere this incident and booked us into a room without adjacent rooms.

This was my first time visiting Medan, and I stayed at this hotel. Overall, it was a good experience, although it's a bit far from Medan city center. If you're looking to stay near the airport, this hotel is quite nice.
