The experience was absolutely fantastic! The hotel is super convenient, and Coco's service made our stay truly delightful. She thoughtfully gave gifts to our children and provided impeccable, attentive service. All our requests were handled immediately, and every piece of information she gave us was so helpful, from parking instructions to breakfast details. In short, Coco's service was top-notch!

First off, my room was upgraded from Block D to Block E. While it's a bit further from the Ocean Park, it's still a very short walk. Plus, there's a hotel shuttle that runs between the lobby, Ocean Park, and the rooms, so no matter where you stay, it's perfectly fine. I also chatted with customer service manager Mr. Zhao about a 1-hour late check-out, and that was arranged smoothly. If you're two adults and one child, they offer a complimentary children's breakfast upon check-in, but you'll need to purchase an extra Ocean Park ticket for the child. This time, my kid spent two full days in the water. We checked in at 1:30 PM on the first day, had a quick rest, then changed into swimsuits and headed straight to Ocean Park. We played from 2:30 PM until 7 PM. On the second day, after breakfast, we changed back into our swimsuits and played until 2 PM, then came back, showered, and checked out. I feel like we could have easily stayed another day, as we spent all our time playing in the water and had no time for shopping.

The kids absolutely loved it! The breakfast buffet had a great variety, and room service was excellent. We even had a robot deliver our takeout to the room, which was super convenient after a fun day at the water park to just head back for a wash and dinner. The only minor issue was that the shuttle bus frequency could be increased.

Standard five-star hotel in terms of hardware and service. I have two suggestions: first, it would be great if toilet seat covers were standard; second, the front desk gave my child a gift, a box about a liter in volume, but it turned out to be a key chain. I don't know what an 8-year-old would do with that, I initially thought it would be something like a panda plush toy. Surprisingly, the hotel amenities are bamboo-made, which is very nice and very Chengdu.

The hotel is a bit old, but it still maintains a five-star standard. The breakfast area, food variety, and quality are all good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I think there are two areas for improvement: 1. Since the Global Center is huge, it's not easy for first-time visitors to immediately grasp the layout. Upon check-in, guests could be provided with a simple map highlighting important locations such as the hotel, shopping mall, dining areas, hotel pool and water park, and subway entrances. 2. The policy and procedure for purchasing water park tickets through the hotel are a bit too complex. I suggest providing a concise guide upon check-in, explaining the policy (tickets must be used on two consecutive days, children and seniors must be accompanied by a guardian, different packages and prices) and the procedure (buying tickets at the front desk, facial recognition at the lobby desk, location of Napoleon's Bakery), as well as pool entry requirements (e.g., no shoes other than rubber shoes, bringing your own towel).

The facilities at the Global Intercontinental Hotel are quite outdated now. However, it gets incredibly busy during the summer, packed with both local and out-of-town guests. Perhaps due to the sheer number of people, the service was disappointing. I had to wait a long time just to get a bottle of water, and they only brought two. I even asked for more because I wanted to make tea 🍵. Furthermore, the water in the water park wasn't clean; when I looked underwater with my goggles, I saw hair and other unidentifiable small bits. It was okay, but definitely a significant downgrade from previous years.

Excellent as always, truly lives up to its big brand name. My entire trip was fantastic. The balcony windows are incredibly soundproof, so I wasn't bothered by any noise from the Water World at all. I had an absolute blast playing in the Ocean Water World for two full days. Breakfast was great, and the hotel service was impeccable. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with kids!
