Out of the four hotels I stayed at during my 10-day cherry blossom trip in Hokkaido, this was the most expensive and the worst. First off, the soundproofing is terrible. There's constant rumbling from the tram outside, but it's also quite a distance from the station. The soundproofing between rooms is poor too; I could hear the phone ringing next door. What's most frustrating is that there's only one electrical outlet in the room! So you have to choose between the kettle, charging your phone, or using the hairdryer. This hotel wasn't actually opened in 2023; it's an older property that was taken over and re-managed in 2023. I definitely don't recommend this one, as there are many other great hotels in Hakodate.

This hotel is located near Goryokaku Park, right next to the station, making it very convenient for getting around. The main building's rooms are well-equipped, very clean, and offer great value for money, including a complimentary breakfast.

We stayed at LC Goryokaku Hotel during our family trip to Hakodate and were pleasantly surprised by how well it suited our needs. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from Goryokaku Park and the Tower, which made it easy for us to explore the area with our kids without needing transportation all the time. The room was clean, spacious enough for a small family, and had thoughtful touches like slippers, toiletries, and even a small seating area where we could unwind. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the quiet at night, which made it easy for the children to fall asleep. The hotel also offers free drinks in the lounge, which was a nice touch, and there's a laundry area, which is very useful when traveling with kids.

Walking distance to all the attractions. Accessible by bus right from Hakodate station. Stayed in the annex building but had enough amenities for guests. Free self-laundry. Simple and tasty, nutritious breakfast. Would go back there again.
