Jelling Family Camping & Cottages

A real family camping with a big and interesting playground and with free access to a heated open pool right next to the camping. Free go-karts that kids love and a mini-golf. The kitchens were well equiped (stoves, cookers and a microwave) as well as tables and chairs for those that live in a small tent. For those not interested in cooking, there was a restaurant and bar on the premises. The owner was very kind and helpful, even going out of his way to make sure that everyone is satisfied. It was close to Legoland and a walking distance from the Jelling stone and church (with a free Viking museum!). Due to the proximity of the Billund airport, plane spotters might also enjoy watching the planes from the camping grounds.

Peter the owner he's a real generous guy:) They were super friendly and did a super fire! The Camping has a nice view, and is located in the nature. The toilets and showers are clean and we had a nice weekend :)

This camping is a good option if you're looking for a decent accommodation at a reasonable price when travelling to Legoland Billund. Camping itself was very 'family friendly'. Huge playground and go-karts for kids. Kitchen facilities included electric and microvave ovens. Showers and toilets were clean and very comfy to use. If you do not want to cook - there is a restaurant too. Camping owner was very helpful during the whole stay. One of the advantages is that every camping place is located close to electricity point, which is very useful especially when travelling with a tent. Open swimming pool behind the camping fence was free for camping guests which was a nice addition. During holidays the evenings with live music, barbecuing or ativities for kids were also available. I will come back to this place for sure.

First of all, it is an excellent place because of the owner and staff working there. Everybody is super friendly and willing to help with any questions you have. I tried to book a cottage with a toilet but everything was already booked, so took a cottage without a toilet for the price of 450 DKK/night. But when we arrived, we got an outstanding surprise from the owner, with no additional cost he gave us a two-room mobile home with a toilet, which has the normal price of 1150 DKK/night. We didn't make any request for it, but just because he wanted to make us happy, he did it. Thank you!!! The camping itself is superb. It is located less than 30 mins from Legoland and 10 mins from Givskud Zoo. There is a very nice playground for children with a zipline, trampoline, sandbox, minigolf, aero hockey, etc., a swimming pool, beach volley, and a cafeteria that transforms into an authentic bar with live music in the evenings. Top location with best quality/price correlation.

The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds are great for kids, with many different activities. We stayed in one of their cottages. They are quite rustic, but with all basic amenities. Overall, the place is very well worth a visit.
