The hotel boasts an elegant environment, making you feel like you have an entire mountain to yourself. Built into the hillside, the two-bedroom suite we booked this time was located mid-mountain. The hotel community has complete facilities, and the main entrance is fenced off with a gate, so the security is reassuring and makes you feel very safe. The shuttle service uses Voyah commercial vans, which are super comfortable! The staff helped with our luggage, which was very thoughtful and attentive. It's about 10 kilometers from Badaling Great Wall, and Shuiguan Great Wall is nearby and not crowded. Juyongguan Great Wall is also conveniently located on the way to Beijing South Station, so we stopped by, making our trip even more rich and fulfilling.

I had a wonderful two-night stay at the Commune by the Great Wall. The standalone villa in the valley was incredibly atmospheric, and the architecture was very well designed. Opening the window revealed views of the forest and the distant Great Wall. A special thanks to our butler, Olivier! From pre-arrival inquiries and check-in to shuttle services within the complex and itinerary suggestions, he was professional, attentive, and very responsive throughout. Any request we had was handled perfectly. The hotel environment was serene, the room was clean, and the service details were impeccable. It was a truly healing and secluded getaway. I will definitely be back!

The environment is fantastic, natural and peaceful. The afternoon tea included in the Trip.com package was adorable. It's close to Jinshui Pass Great Wall. I recommend the bamboo house for small families, and the 'Red House' for multiple families or company team-building events. It's very car-friendly!

Service: Our butler, Mr. Chen Yang, had an excellent attitude! He helped me receive many packages and even arranged a room and necessary items for easy access with a small baby, which was very thoughtful. Facilities: The orientation of the forest cabin rooms was just average. Only the living room and one bedroom faced the sun; two rooms didn't face the sun, so the lighting wasn't great. The living room was nice, and the restaurant design was perfect for large families traveling with children. Cleanliness: Overall, it was acceptable. Environment: The surrounding environment was good, and there was even a cute pet park suitable for young children. My child loved the squirrels there.

This isn't just a hotel; it's an architectural art museum you can live in. The masterpieces of twelve top Asian designers are scattered throughout the valley, each one worth exploring slowly. Kengo Kuma's signature 'transparent yet private' design is absolutely stunning – the bamboo outside the glass facade changes with the light, like a flowing ink wash painting. The geometric lines of the Red House, the minimalism of the Furniture House – every step in the public areas is a visual feast. The next morning, I walked to the Shuiguan Great Wall and had it almost entirely to myself. That feeling of awe, standing alone before the ancient wall, is something Badaling can never offer. While the facilities show their age a bit, the unique architectural aesthetic and the peaceful valley atmosphere more than make up for it. I particularly want to commend Alvin at the front desk; from check-in guidance to helping plan my itinerary, he was professional and patient throughout, which made the experience even better. I've already recommended it to all my girlfriends!

This time, I stayed in the Bamboo House room, and the overall experience was excellent. Oliver communicated promptly throughout our stay, provided attentive and thoughtful service, and handled everything efficiently, making the check-in process very smooth.

A perfect experience, truly living up to its renowned reputation as 'The Commune'! The design is absolutely stunning, and as the filming location for 'Love in the Buff,' it's incredibly photogenic. Both the public areas and the rooms are picture-perfect. The windows offer breathtaking mountain views, especially healing at sunset. Waking up naturally to sunshine and birdsong each day, completely escaping the city's hustle and bustle, I truly embraced a slow-paced life of eating, strolling, and taking photos. After three days, my mind and body feel completely refreshed. I'm already looking forward to my second visit. I also want to give a special shout-out to Alvin at the front desk. His service was warm, attentive, and he handled everything seamlessly. Highly recommended!

A day of much-needed respite, and I chose this hotel. Nestled on the sofa, I watched the rolling mountains outside the window, with the Great Wall subtly peeking through. A cup of tea, a quiet moment, no need to think about anything. In the evening, a hot bath completely relaxed me – a long-awaited indulgence. Alvin at the front desk helped upgrade my room, significantly improving the view. He provided just the right amount of attention throughout, not overly chatty but responsive to every need, making this brief escape exceptionally comfortable.

Staying in the valley, with beautiful scenery right outside the window, waking up early to enjoy a cup of tea on the terrace while watching the sunrise slowly, it's incredibly relaxing. The hotel environment is quiet and serene, the architecture is distinctive, and the whole place is just beautiful.
