This is our second stay here, and our whole family was once again very satisfied! A special thanks to Olivier Wang, the lobby manager, who provided excellent communication from before check-in all the way through to our departure. He was incredibly responsive, answering all our questions promptly and making us feel completely at ease. What was most thoughtful was that he even helped us arrange a late check-out, which made traveling with children so much more relaxed – truly exceptional service. The hotel environment is outstanding, offering a unique sense of tranquility and design at the foot of the Great Wall. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service team is both professional and personable. Our entire family gives it a unanimous thumbs-up, and we'll definitely be back!

We stayed at the hotel with our child on Saturday, and I'd like to thank Oliver for upgrading our room. His service was warm, attentive, and prompt. He communicated politely and patiently helped with all our requests. The hotel's overall environment was clean and comfortable, and the experience in all aspects was excellent. We will definitely choose this hotel again when we visit this area in the future, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Four families booked the Red House Villa for a weekend getaway, and our family gathering experience was absolutely perfect! The villa offers spacious interiors and a tranquil environment, allowing the kids to play freely. A special thanks to our butler, Xiao Song, who was thoughtful, attentive, and incredibly responsive, handling all our requests seamlessly. Surrounded by mountains, the scenery is stunning. It's an ideal spot for multiple families to vacation together. A truly pleasant and unforgettable weekend trip, highly recommended for group family bookings!

Came to Commune by the Great Wall for a relaxing holiday with my family, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations – definitely five stars! A special shout-out to Yuan Yuan at the front desk; she was incredibly kind and patient. She provided detailed explanations during check-in and when we asked for sightseeing recommendations, and her response time for any issues was super quick and thoughtful. The resort environment is serene, and the private villas offer great privacy with healing mountain views from the window. The room was clean and odor-free, and all the dining and leisure facilities were comprehensive. Both the elderly and children had a very comfortable stay. We initially planned to stay only one night, but we couldn't bear to leave such a comfortable environment, so we spontaneously decided to extend our stay for another night. The experience was perfect, and I've already recommended it to friends. This will be our top choice for future relaxing getaways!

The overall experience was terrible. First, I called 24 hours in advance to confirm that the '90-degree Red House' was still available. However, when I called the next day after arriving, they told me the entire building had been booked out. They then moved me to a courtyard suite (which was quite nice). After going out for dinner and coming back, I wanted to watch TV but found I couldn't cast anything. So, they moved me to a smaller room and had to call an engineer just to get the casting to work. All in all, the room I originally wanted was booked out, then there was a room change, the TV casting didn't work, another room change, and then someone had to come fix the casting. Not only did this waste several hours, but the experience was extremely poor. I won't be going back. Everyone, beware!

Finally checked into the Commune by the Great Wall, a Hyatt Centric property – specifically, the Bamboo House. This stay completely exceeded my expectations, so I'm sharing an honest review for anyone considering a visit. The exterior features tightly packed natural bamboo poles, complemented by a black sloping roof. Walking along the forest path, you can see the building softly blending into the mountains and woods from a distance, without appearing out of place at all. The most stunning feature is the independent outdoor bamboo tea room. Bamboo columns enclose a semi-transparent space with white sand covering the ground. Through the bamboo gaps, you can gaze at the mountains and forest. Sitting quietly and enjoying tea here creates an incredibly atmospheric experience, perfect for photos. The public areas boast large floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the green trees outside like natural landscape paintings. During the day, light and shadows filter into the rooms through the bamboo poles, creating ever-changing scenery. Practical Tips for Your Stay: 1. The room offers excellent privacy. It's a standalone building surrounded by dense trees, away from the hustle and bustle of public areas. It's ideal for those seeking quiet relaxation, couples on a getaway, or small gatherings of friends. 2. The building materials are natural bamboo, so there's a natural bamboo and wood scent. If you're sensitive to slight color variations or textures in natural materials, please be aware of this beforehand. The gaps in the bamboo create a soft, translucent feel; if you require ultimate privacy, simply pull down the indoor blackout blinds. 3. The hotel is located in a valley, so the temperature difference between morning/evening and daytime is greater than in the city. Remember to bring a light jacket if you plan to sit in the outdoor tea room in the evening. 4. The resort grounds are very large. I recommend driving in, as walking to and from the restaurant can be quite far. For dining, you can choose the hotel's restaurant or bring your own snacks and enjoy them in the outdoor tea room. Areas for Improvement: When I checked in, the room had just been cleaned, and there was still water on the floor, suggesting a rushed and less-than-thorough cleaning. The 'Old Beijing style' afternoon tea, which looked great for photos in the lobby, consisted of pre-bought items of generally mediocre quality.

Overall it's decent, but the hot spring wasn't good, and we even had to pay an extra 80 for the child. Honestly, adults don't even need to bother going.

The hotel facilities are exceptional, with plenty of entertainment options for kids. The environment is lovely, and the service is incredibly attentive. Highly recommend it!
