Movenpick Villas & Residences Phu Quoc

Great for families with small children, lots of shallow space in the pool and playgrounds, the beach is beautiful.

We had an early flight to Phu Quoc, arriving Movenpick by the hotel shuttle which we have booked beforehand at around 12pm. But we were asked to come back to the counter to check in again after 1pm as they were busy with doing check outs. Yet even though we managed to check in at 1pm, we still have to wait till 4pm before we actually got into our villa. Fortunately there was a lounge and kids playroom as well as chocolate time to keep us entertained for a bit. But better communication would be appreciated so we need not queue at the counter again every hour to check on the room status. We were provided with buggy to transport us and our luggages to our villa from the lobby after our room was ready. The hotel staff was keen to provide us with contact via WhatsApp to arrange transportation throughout our trip which was a convenient touch. The villa itself was spacious with 1 suite located on the ground floor and 2 located on the second floor and a private pool with lake view. Instead of providing small bottled water, a large barrel of water with water dispensing nozzle was provided in the villa. The rooms were clean and spacious, but noticed some closet door handles were broken, though it does not affect their function, just decrased the aesthetics. We have informed the hotel beforehand that we are celebrating birthday for this trip and they have kindly prepared a cake for us which was a lovely touch. Hotel staff were quick to response when requests were made over the phone including refilling water and getting a buggy for transportation. Our main issue was water in the shower being lukewarm instead of warm/hot when multiple guests are showering at the same time. Overall we had an enjoyable time at Movenpick and we wish we could stay longer to fully utilize all the facilities provided. Maybe next time! 😉

Clean and nice. It’s a little bit far from other attractions. If only stays in the hotel, this will be a great place.

Modern, well maintained hotel with extensive grounds. Generous breakfast, friendly staff, amazing beach. Pool lovers will adore this place. Highly recommended.

Great hotel, was very clean and views from my room was really nice during sunset. Staff members were really helpful and friendly.
