Steigenberger Chongqing

I rarely write reviews unless a place is exceptionally bad or good, but I can confidently say this is the best hotel experience I've had in China for the same price range. It's not because of super luxurious amenities, but purely because of our butler, Xiao Qian. She was incredibly helpful, almost always saying yes to our requests. When we had issues, she'd reply instantly and resolve them at lightning speed. If something couldn't be fixed, she'd find a workaround. The hotel's overall cleanliness was fine, but the soundproofing wasn't great. The facilities were decent, and there weren't any special events during the National Day holiday.

I've stayed here many times, and the rooms are consistently good, no need to elaborate. But let me talk about the breakfast buffet. I've hardly ever gotten to try the cream bread. It feels like they only make a few, and once they're gone, they don't restock. Seriously disappointing.

Stayed here with my family during the National Day holiday. The room was spacious and bright. Housekeeper Xiao Lan provided attentive and thoughtful service. It's rare to maintain such quality during a holiday. We had a comfortable rest, and it's not far from the attractions. I'll choose Steigenberger Chongqing again next time I visit.

This National Day, I invited friends to stay at Steigenberger Chongqing. I had booked a package deal on Ctrip that included meals, park access, and accommodation. I was mentally prepared for a drop in service due to the crowds, but the entire experience was fantastic, so I had to write a long review to praise it! I especially want to commend Manager Xiaolan by name. I had stayed here recently and added her on WeChat. As soon as I confirmed my itinerary this time, she proactively sent me reminders about traveling during the National Day holiday, reserved a table for me at the restaurant in advance, and thoughtfully double-checked the room's cleanliness and children's toiletries. During our stay, she was always responsive and quick to answer any questions, big or small. She was enthusiastic and professional, truly solving problems from the guest's perspective. Even more commendable was the entire hotel team's performance. Despite the massive crowds during the National Day holiday, the security at the entrance maintained order perfectly. Even late at night, we could still see security staff directing traffic and guiding vehicles. Public areas were constantly being tidied by the cleaning staff, keeping the environment spotless. The restaurant's speed in refilling dishes was a pleasant surprise; we never saw empty platters waiting for a long time. My friends all praised the consistent quality of the food, noting that it wasn't perfunctory despite the large number of guests. It's evident that all departments coordinated seamlessly, and operations remained orderly even during peak times. I've stayed in many top luxury hotels in China, and most offer polite and thorough service, but often it feels like a formality. However, Steigenberger Chongqing truly incorporates service into every detail and genuinely cares, which is rare. There are no unnecessary formalities; they genuinely anticipate and fulfill guests' needs in advance. Every time I come here, I feel it's excellent value for money. I sincerely recommend it to everyone, and I hope the hotel recognizes the dedication of Manager Xiaolan and all the staff. Such excellent service deserves to be seen by more people!

The room was spacious and the service was superb. It had all the facilities, and I'll definitely come back if I have the chance. The surrounding area was also quite peaceful.

I stayed during the off-season, and the hotel was very large and quite empty. I didn't get to experience any of the hotel's activities or perks. My family said the breakfast was very rich and gave it a thumbs-up. The service was also good; after calling, children's toiletries could be delivered to the room. However, for a hotel that primarily targets families, the room facilities were too basic and lacked any child-friendly elements. If it weren't for a specific need, I would choose to stay in the city next time.
