Dear Trip.com Customer Service Support,
I am writing to formally request a reconsideration regarding my refund application for my recent hotel booking (Booking ID: [Masukkan Nomor Pesanan]).
To provide context, I made a booking on the night of May 14, 2026, for a family trip planned for the following day, May 15, 2026. Unfortunately, on the morning of our scheduled departure, my child suddenly fell ill with a high fever and sore throat. Initially, I hoped the condition would improve after administering Paracetamol and Cetirizine. However, as time progressed and my child's condition did not improve, I had to make the difficult decision to cancel the trip to prioritize my child's medical care.
Following the platform's guidelines, I promptly took my child to the doctor and obtained an official medical certificate (surat keterangan sakit) to support my cancelation and refund request on Trip.com.
While I understand that hotel policies vary and I am not expecting a full 100% refund, I was very disappointed to learn that my request was completely rejected despite the valid medical emergency and documentation provided.
If a monetary refund is strictly non-negotiable, I believe offering a rescheduling option would be a much fairer solution for both parties. I am more than willing to cover any reasonable administrative fees or price differences associated with changing the dates. Providing such flexibility would greatly accommodate travelers who face genuine, unpredictable emergencies.
I sincerely hope Trip.com can show goodwill and review this matter to find an amicable solution. Thank you very much for your time, understanding, and consideration.
