Miðhraun - Lava Resort

Check-in was at the restaurant counter, and check-in times are the same as the restaurant's operating hours. The automated email stated a shorter check-in window, but I called and confirmed that you can check in anytime before the restaurant closes. The room was huge and beautiful, with a kitchen and living room. Each room is a standalone house, and all the amenities are great. The privacy is excellent, and there's even a small swallow's nest – perfect for a vacation!

We visited Kirkjufell, Budir Black Church, and Arnarstapi, and this vacation home is also not far from Ytri Tunga Seal Beach. The location is excellent, the rooms are clean, and there's a kitchen, making it perfect for a large family trip. My family was very satisfied!

The car had some problems on the day we checked out, and the landlord asked her husband to help us check the car. It was very cold outside with strong winds, snow and rain. He was worried that we would be cold, so he asked us to wait in the house. He helped us check the car in the wind and snow. When he said the car was repaired and there was no problem, I felt like he was glowing and saved us from the wind and snow. The rooms are independent and have good privacy.
