Easy and fun to reach the hotel with prompt hourly boat service. Delightful walk around and chance to engage with nature and wildlife. Isabela, the server at dinner was super attentive, kind and enjoyable which makes a huge difference as many staff seem disengaged. The fish was pretty bad, but the lamb was good. Breakfast was average. The museum is very interesting, would be better if there was some explanation at check-in and easier to access the video in English. It’s a shame to have such nice history with little ability to understand and appreciate. The sleeping arrangements are camping style, not reflected in the price.. so be prepared for that.

We loved taking a boat over to the island. The cabin was nice and comfortable. Dinner was good - they allowed for some to not do the full 3 courses. Breakfast was fabulous! Was fun to walk around the island, but not much to do in evening. We stayed one night and was just right for us.

Charming “village” of renovated cabins with a single bar and restaurant. It was very atmospheric and a lovely stop enroute from Alesund to Trondheim. Not much to do there so arriving around 5:00 or 6:00pm is perfect for your overnight stay.

We absolutely loved our one-night stay there, dinner was delicious, our little cottage was adorable and the staff so friendly! There’s something very special about staying on a small island, where everything has been lovingly restored. You set foot on it and are immediately engulfed in its past. I personally had lots of fun observing the sea and all the little Patricks (think Sponge Bob ) leading their lives. For me a wonderful memory: a very endearing place and staff.
