Everything else felt pretty good, but the cleanliness was really disappointing. I was halfway through my shower when I noticed the showerhead was black. I initially thought it was just old, but then I scraped it with my fingernail and realized the black stuff was coming off, meaning it wasn't old, but simply not cleaned properly. I even had to grab a toothbrush to scrub the showerhead. It was about 70-80% clean when I finally remembered to take a photo, after having already cleaned the top part. For a hotel of this caliber and price, such an issue is truly unacceptable.

I tried this out for the family, and it's a definite no-go. As soon as we walked in, I could tell the bedding was dirty, yellowish, and old, but since we were already there, and it was only 300+ a night, what more could we expect, right? I'm not a picky person. But then, around 3 AM, my partner woke up saying they were incredibly itchy. We turned on the lights and saw several red bumps – no idea if they were bed bugs or just some other insects. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

The hotel is centrally located in Malacca, with many restaurants nearby and a 7-Eleven. The hotel has an industrial design, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are helpful.

Location: Not exactly in the city center, but it takes about 10 minutes by taxi to get to central areas like Airport Street. Overall, it's pretty decent. Cleanliness: Very good, spotless. Value for money: Alright. If you come during the off-season, around 400 yuan would be a good price. Wi-Fi: Super, super slow. This is the only thing I'd complain about at this hotel. Soundproofing: Not great; you can hear people talking or walking outside. But thankfully, people are generally considerate, so it didn't really disturb my rest. Room facilities: The room facilities are also good, except the hairdryer isn't very hot. Bed: The bed is a bit firm for my liking.

This hotel has some style, and the bedding is comfortable, plus the staff are quite enthusiastic. Unfortunately, there's construction going on next door. A sign in front of the elevator says construction is from 8 AM to 6 PM, and it was pretty noisy during the two days I stayed. I booked a twin room, which was facing the road, and the "motorcycle army" at night made a terrifying amount of noise. So, I could only really get quiet sleep between 1 AM and 8 AM 😂. Luckily, I was mostly there for work. If it had been purely a vacation and I couldn't sleep well, that would have been a huge regret. For those looking to book, this is something to consider.

Location: This area isn't as lively as the hotels on Jln Merdeka Street (which has two large malls and a big night market). Pros: The hotel offers super beautiful photo ops from every angle, perfect for Instagram. Despite being a 4-star hotel, you have to lug your own luggage up to the room 😩😩. If you're a light sleeper, avoid rooms with a city view because the soundproofing isn't good. At night, motorcycles race by with noisy mufflers. The bathroom floor was a bit dirty, and while the design is simple, it has its own unique style. There's no 24-hour convenience store within 500m, but if you walk about 50m to the left of the hotel, there's a breakfast spot with many good and cheap options. On the plus side, there's spacious private parking, so parking is easy.
