The location is incredibly convenient, with close-up views of the Petronas Towers right from the room. The interior design is luxurious, and the room's irregular geometric design adds a lively touch. We stayed for three nights, and the pool bar and the sound of motorcycles revving all night weren't an issue for us at all; in fact, we quite enjoyed the hustle and bustle. However, if you're sensitive to noise, you might want to reconsider booking a hotel on a busy street in a lively area like this. There are Chinese staff at the front desk, and many others speak a bit of Chinese. We asked for a bucket of ice every day, and it was always delivered promptly to our room. The room was also cleaned on time daily. The restaurant on the 8th floor has excellent dishes, and the breakfast selection is particularly rich. The only two minor issues were that even common drinks like Coca-Cola in the minibar were chargeable, and we weren't granted any late check-out.

The hotel boasts a prime location right next to the Petronas Twin Towers. One side of the hotel offers stunning views of the Twin Towers, while the other overlooks the KL Tower. The pool on the 12th floor is also beautiful, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with two queen-sized beds perfect for families with children. This was the best hotel experience during our trip to Kuala Lumpur.

This hotel is more suited for adults and not ideal for families with children. The swimming pool closes at 7 PM, so if you plan to swim in the evening, be mindful of the time. After 7 PM, it instantly transforms into a club! It's great for friends or couples to grab a few drinks, but not so much with kids. Also, it's not exclusively for hotel guests; it's open to the public. Pros: It's very close to the Petronas Twin Towers, just a 5-minute walk. You can also see the Twin Towers from the pool, which makes for great photos. The service was excellent. I didn't experience any of the bad service mentioned in some reviews, nor did I feel any deliberate difficulty or discrimination towards Chinese guests. In fact, upon seeing an Asian face, staff members would even proactively offer to speak English or Chinese, which was very nice. Cons: The hotel's decor has a somewhat dark aesthetic, which I personally wasn't a fan of, and I also disliked the color scheme in the rooms. However, this is subjective. The check-in process was a bit cumbersome: first, you register, and then you go up to the 8th floor to complete the check-in. The facilities are a bit dated, and the room windows only have sheer curtains, no blackout curtains.

They even gave me a hat 🤦. The in-house bar has a great vibe, and the view of the Petronas Towers is fantastic for photos. It's also super convenient, right next to a durian experience center and the towers themselves. I've stayed at the W in Shanghai before, and I was originally planning to book the Park Hyatt, but since I was only in KL for one night, I chose the W for the convenience.

The room was quite spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – very soft and large enough, which greatly helped with sleep. However, there were a few things that seemed inconsistent with a luxury hotel's decor and facilities. Firstly, the sink was quite shallow and small, causing water to splash out when washing my face. The toilet was a very basic model, lacking any smart features. The shower room's seal wasn't good, so water easily flowed out onto the floor during showers. Additionally, the soundproofing in the hotel room was poor; noises from the hallway easily carried into the room, and the roar of cars from the street was clearly audible.

Having stayed at various W Hotels, I've always found them to be consistently clean, high-quality, and with excellent service. The breakfast spread is always varied and plentiful. It's a brand I trust, mainly because their standards are so consistent across all properties.

Traveling with two kids, the two large beds were perfectly adequate. The hotel is just a three-minute walk from the Petronas Twin Towers. There's a convenient store right across the street, and behind it, a 24-hour Indian restaurant. The hotel breakfast was good, and getting a taxi was easy. All the staff were quite friendly, and overall, it was a good experience.

I requested an early check-in and was told they would do their best, but in the end, nothing was done.

Facilities: The bathroom floor gets easily wet when showering. Service: The check-in experience was quite mediocre. Location: Although it's close to the Petronas Towers, getting anywhere else is very inconvenient. Value: The price is double what other five-star hotels charge.
