GH Palazzo Suite & Spa

Fantastic location and stay with nice parking. Service is great. Restaurant is however not great. Swimming pool wise, it is not clearly indicated in the lift area it closes at 7pm while every other services are clearly labelled , i think this is the only thing to address. Breakfast is great as well!

Nice hotel in a good spot in Livorno. The rooms were great and very spacious and good AC. The pool area is very small and drinks on the terrace are expensive. Overall a nice hotel but prob more 4*

The hotel was nice. We stayed for 7 nights.Friendly staff, but on our experience the hotel is not a 5 star hotel. The grounds, front of the hotel an the lobby are nice and welcoming . Behind that tells a different story. Our bedroom could have done with some freshing up. The bathroom taps and furniture are needing replaced. Mould around the silicon sealant. Our room had a lovely balcony that overlooked the sea. It was disappointing that this wasn't brushed during our stay. Hotel is just outside of the main area in Livorno. Half an hour walk away. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel that will take you to the main area in about 5/10 mins..

I booked this hotel expecting a premium experience, but it completely failed to live up to its 5-star rating. To start with, basic luxury amenities were completely missing—there were no bathrobes provided, and the welcome bottle of wine we were supposed to receive was nowhere to be found. The room itself was in a shocking state. The walls were noticeably dirty and literally had holes in them. Furthermore, the room was uncomfortably hot, making it very difficult to sleep or relax. The bathroom was just as bad, with visible mold in the shower, which is absolutely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a supposedly high-end one. To make matters worse, the Wi-Fi was barely functional, dropping constantly and making it impossible to get anything done online. The only saving grace was the breakfast, which was decent and offered a reasonable selection. However, an okay breakfast is not nearly enough to make up for the terrible room conditions and lack of basic hygiene. I will definitely never stay here again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere. This is a 2- or 3-star hotel at best.

GH Palazzo in Livorno is old, run-down, and smells of toilets on the first floor. Staff never apologized. My Negroni on the rooftop came with melted ice, and the porter spoke neither Italian nor English — ironic in Tuscany, birthplace of Dante’s neutral Italian. Reception had no idea about availability when I tried to extend my stay. I was woken at 7 AM by an unwanted call for a group, with no apology. Writing this at 7 AM. I give 2 stars only because it’s cheap for a “5-star” hotel. Truly deserves 2 if it were rated honestly.

The hotel was nice and Tidy as you'd expect from a five star hotel. Breakfast was great and staff helpful. What I found strange was that you had to pay to use the spa (use of sauna etc.) With hefty price tag of €70 PP on Friday. My mattress was knackered springs broken and one side virtually collapsed. The bathroom door was taty with bits peeling off. Admittedly, I couldn't be bothered to complain and get my room changed after unpacking our stuff and noticing the state of mattress late at night. And parking was €18 per night, which I didn't notice of any mention of their website or Trip.com. They charged me for 2 instead 3 when I mentioned the mattress before checking out. To be honest there has to be some level checking the condition of the beds by the supervisor. The pool on the roof was very small, not worth bothering with except if want to sit beside it for suntanning. I didn'tnotice any offer of drinks or food at the pool. I gave service a four star only because we asked for couple of things to the room which didn't happen.
