This was my first time staying at a hostel, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. First of all, the common areas were very clean, as the cleaning staff were constantly keeping them tidy. Coffee and tea were available at all times in the common area, and there were also games to enjoy. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, with fresh vegetables and fruit available every morning. Soap was provided in the showers, and towels were also available to borrow. Regarding security, you needed a key to enter the building, two separate keys to access the dormitory area from the common spaces, and another key to enter your own bedroom. Since there were many bars in the surrounding area and I was a little concerned about safety at night, I found these security measures very reassuring. The receptionists were also very friendly and welcoming. They were happy to help me figure out my transportation options for my return journey. As for the dormitory, I stayed in a four-bed room. All the other travelers in my room were quiet and considerate. We respected each other’s personal space and enjoyed a peaceful stay without needing to interact much. The bedroom was, of course, very clean as well. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone planning a trip to Vancouver!

Great location. While some people mentioned the issue with homeless individuals, they don't bother you. The breakfast has a good variety and the overall vibe is fantastic—it's everything a hostel should be.

This is my second time at Samesun, but it's still the best hostel downtown! The free breakfast is amazing. There are plenty of shower and washroom facilities. The staff are always helpful. I love how the lounge is so aesthetic. Thank you for making my stay another memorable experience!

I really loved this hostel! It's super close to the city center, and there's a supermarket right outside the door, which was really convenient for groceries. Plus, the hostel has a kitchen, so you can buy your own ingredients and cook. I'll definitely be back next time.

It's pretty good if you're lucky with your roommates. The curtain is thick, and you have a lamp and power outlet by the bed. The showers and toilets are clean, and they even provide a few products you can use. Coffee and tea are available for free all day, and breakfast is served in the morning. This was my second time staying here.
