Indigo Hotel Hangzhou Shangcheng surprised me with an amazing stay! ✨ The hotel perfectly blends Song Dynasty aesthetics with modern luxury, featuring江南 (Jiangnan) details everywhere, creating a fantastic ambiance. The room was spacious and clean, with excellent amenities like a Dyson hairdryer and Marshall speaker. The minibar was refilled for free, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was superb, washing away all travel fatigue. The location is excellent, near the Southern Song Imperial City ruins, making it convenient to visit Bagua Field and Yu Huang Mountain. Subway access is also easy. The breakfast offered a great mix of Western and Chinese options, including authentic Hangzhou snacks, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. It’s a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, perfect for both vacations and longer stays.

I originally planned to go somewhere else, but everything was fully booked. By chance, I stumbled upon this Indigo hotel with an excellent location by the Qiantang River. To my surprise, the stay was fantastic. The breakfast was incredibly rich; although the restaurant wasn't large, everything was well-organized, and the staff were very enthusiastic. The room was quite clean, and the twin room I stayed in was a decent size. They offered welcome fruits and turndown service gifts, and the mini-bar was replenished daily. I must especially commend Felix for his exceptional service; he proactively asked if there were any areas for improvement, which truly elevates the hotel's service standards. This hotel made me feel relaxed and comfortable. For those driving from Shanghai, you don't need to worry about traffic restrictions, and the underground parking is completely free.

The dorm was too shabby, so as a student needing a change of pace, I chose Indigo this time. The service here was indeed great, especially Felix at the front desk, who had a wonderful attitude and even gave us a souvenir when we left. Very nice! This Indigo feels more business-oriented; it definitely can't compare to the resort-style Indigos, but given the price, the value for money is quite good. I heard the rooms were small before booking, and yes, it's spacious enough for one person, but it would definitely be cramped for two. The bedding and hygiene were excellent, and the fried dough sticks at breakfast were delicious. Overall, it was a quite satisfying experience. If you're unsure which hotel to book, you might consider this one!

This is my second stay at this hotel in Hangzhou. The location is very convenient; it's not too far by taxi from the restaurants we wanted to visit and West Lake. The overall hotel service is good, and the facilities are complete. The room's modern yet classical decor is pleasing to the eye. They even provided a room diffuser, which was a nice touch. It was a very satisfying stay.

At Hotel Indigo Hangzhou Upper CBD, I felt like I stepped into the 'old times' by West Lake. The moment I opened the door, I was struck by the aesthetics – the perfect blend of retro modern and Southern Song dynasty charm. What surprised me even more were the Mini Bar and the welcome candies and fruits, all with a distinctive Jiangnan flavor. The bedding in the room was crisp and dry, the bathroom was spotless with no water stains, and even the carpet seams were impeccably clean. While preserving the inherent old Hangzhou charm of the room's design, it still maintained the high standards and quality I've come to expect from an InterContinental hotel. Furthermore, from the smiling greeting upon entry to the turndown service, everyone felt like an old friend. They consistently remembered the hot weather; the front desk recommended the nearest local restaurant and thoughtfully advised me on the shadiest route. Finally, I have to praise the Pian'er Chuan at the restaurant! I initially had low expectations for a 'local noodle dish' at a hotel, but the first bite was incredibly savory! The fresh crispness of the pickled vegetables and bamboo shoots, the tender sliced meat, and the springy noodles that had soaked up all the broth. Enjoying a steaming bowl of Hangzhou's local flavor in such an elegant setting – this is truly the right way to experience Hangzhou. It's already on my list for a second visit; next time, I'll bring my parents to try the noodles!

The sound system, coffee machine, and air freshener, along with the complete room facilities, made for a very comfortable stay. The hallway was also bright and inviting, and I slept soundly. The front desk staff provided excellent service. I'll definitely keep choosing Indigo.
