Whitehall

Parking lot unpaved and rugged. Could use some updating generally (paint, door adjustment, etc.) but property is quite old and has the access issues and ambiance to go with it. We enjoyed our stay.

I had a very pleasant stay at Whitehall. The hotel is stylish, quiet, and beautifully designed. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I have just a couple of suggestions that could improve the guest experience. First, the parking instructions could be clearer. The on-site parking lot is quite small, and it wasn’t obvious that street parking is also available. A sign or clearer directions at check-in would be very helpful. Second, I wasn’t able to find an accessible ramp at the entrance. It appeared that only stairs were available. If there is a ramp, it wasn’t obvious, and better signage would make it much easier for guests traveling with luggage or anyone needing accessible access. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend Whitehall to others. With a few small improvements to the parking and entrance signage, the experience would be even better.

Lovely, charming, cozy place to stay!! The staff was excellent and they could not have been nicer!! I highly recommend going to Camden Maine and staying here. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!!

Whitehall was absolutely amazing. It was truly a dream from beginning to end. From our first moment there we were filled with an immense sense of calm and peace. The entire place was filled with the most amazing scent, truly filling the establishment with a feeling of complete tranquility. We had been traveling for some time and it was not a great experience prior to arriving at Whitehall. It felt like all of that was washed away. I needed the amazing robes and hot shower more than anything at that moment. The ice cold water and coffee bar were truly a gift to us, it filled my soul to sit on the front porch and rock in the Adirondacks. The bedding was lush and clean and so comfortable. Thank you so much for this amazing gift, we will be back!

Have stayed over the years, a beautiful property but needs significant love (that is investment of money for maintenance/cleaning + staffing) to bring up to its basic glory. I personally won't return unless I see evidence of that upgrade

Magical stay at a historic property. LOVED reading books on the verandah, evening wine by the fire pit, meeting people from all over the world, and the excellent breakfast. The staff was kind and very welcoming. Wish we'd stayed longer!

This inn blew me away. I love an old New England inn. I also love a luxurious, hip boutique hotel. This place manages to combine to two seamlessly. My room was small but so cozy and comfortable I didn’t mind. Location is fabulous - a short walk to town. And the breakfast, wow. No boring continental situation here. The buffet hit all the right notes. The whole place did in fact.
